Los Avina Mexican Restaurant - Chiefland

Rating: 4.2 /5
Logan The wife was craving Mexican so we stopped to check this place out. Walked in and was greeted by the waitress. We sat anywhere and they quickly had chips and salsa on our table. Drinks were quick too. We ordered food and chatted as we waited. The staff was prompt, and when the food arrived, it did not disappoint! We both enjoyed the food and it very quickly became a place we will return too. The wife variety of customers and their menu show how authentic their food is. It is the best Mexican food I have had in North Florida. And since good Mexican food is hard to find in this state as a whole, I look forward to trying more of their menu.

Joe P Great drinks and food with friendly staff. The food is not your typical pub food. It is higher quality. I had a very good buffalo flat bread and my wife had Mac and Cheese with broccoli added. Price was a value. Drinks were strong and the beer cold. Also, dog friendly.

Columbia Restaurant - Sarasota

jr merritt It’s a fabulous time of year (December) to visit Columbia at St. Armands Circle. They open the dining room to the breeze when the weather is nice, and they also have heaters outside if you prefer to sit closer to the bustle of the sidewalk traffic. We went mid-week and were able to get seats at the bar—highly recommend if you enjoy watching skilled bartenders at work. The menu is huge and approachable. Everyone in your party will find something here. The mojito comes with a piece of sugar cane (fun touch), and both the white and red sangria were outstanding. It’s stone crab season, and the claws arrived pre-cracked—zero effort, all reward—with hot butter on the side. The Cuban bread was fresh, flaky, and left little crumbs that felt like confetti across our end of the bar, which honestly matched the mood: a celebration. My entrée was beautifully cooked, and the classic flavors reminded me why Columbia is such a Florida institution. Parking is plentiful, and strolling past the shops afterward is a perfect way to end the evening. If you’re in the area, don’t miss this fantastic family restaurant that has been around (in various forms) since 1905. Consistently great food, warm atmosphere, and a true taste of old-Florida hospitality.

Lisa Delauder What an amazing place with delicious food! Latoya was our waitress for the evening. She greeted us with a friendly smile and stayed on top of everything with it being a busy night. Brought out drinks, took our orders and just made it easy breezy to enjoy every moment. She was our waitress when we came in for our 18th Anniversary. I was happy to have her attend to us again, because she was just that good at making the experience fun! Plus, as always, the food was phenomenal!! Thank you to her and the chefs once again to making Maggianos a fabulous place to dine!

Ella Maes Diner - Fort Myers

Marie House Delicious. It might be the best fried chicken n biscuit I have ever eaten. We also had the cornmeal fried cod with grits and eggs. The fish was flaky, true southern grits, and a tartar sauce made with green tomatoes. My granddaughters had Mac n cheese, (it was homemade) and chocolate chip pancakes. I wasnt fast enough to get any other pictures! The only negative is that there isnt anything to soak up the noise from a busy restaurant. Next time I want to sit outside. They hung up my granddaughters picture that she colored before we left. She was thrilled. Her name is Piper and she was excited to share her name with who the restaurant was named for. It was a great opportunity to tell her about Dr Ella Piper and her contributions to Fort Myers, FL.
