3 /5 Jamie Engel, Florida Keys Real Estate: Great View, Just-Okay Bites
We ended up at Buzz’s Lighthouse Restaurant mostly because it was a quick stroll from our stay at the Vanderbilt Beach Resort—big win for convenience. The vibe is exactly what you want from a waterfront casual spot: breezy, relaxed, and just polished enough that you don’t feel like you wandered into someone’s dock party.
Service? Genuinely good—friendly without hovering. The food, though… let’s just say it showed up, it was edible, and it filled space. Nothing was bad, but nothing made me consider a second visit either. For the price, I was expecting at least a little “oh wow,” but most dishes landed firmly in “huh… okay then.”
If you’re here for the view and a chilled-out setting, it works. If you’re here for standout flavors, maybe keep walking a bit farther down the beach.
