K p We went to eat here last night and it was a great experience all around. I ordered a dish from the Laotian part of the menu and it was amazing. Sorry I don’t remember what it was called but the flavors were new for me and that is what I wanted. Something different from all the food I usually get. They brought out this cute plate for my daughter who is 3 and she loved it. My friend ordered Pad Thai and I tried hers. I normally am not a huge fan of that dish but it was very good and I would even order it next time I come. The staff were super nice and they have a karaoke set up which they turned on and I even sang a couple of songs at the end of the night. We will definitely be back and they are new as of this review (2 months old) so definitely check them out and you won’t be disappointed.

Matt M I have always been a big fan of the French Pantry at its Power’s Avenue location in Jacksonville. The vibe was always cool, where you are dining with people you don’t know and even seeing the occasional celebrity on a visit. The St Augustine version is very very different, more like a traditional restaurant, so without the first location’s quirks. First, I need to tell you that this is a very different location, it features: - full bar - dinner hours (open till 8:00 PM) - a private dining room - cooking classes - dinner menu - a beautiful and large dining room. Second, the things you found great at the original location: - fabulous desserts - bang bang shrimp - bruschetta in all shapes and sizes - all your favorites But you want to read about the food, not my comparison of the two locations: Beer - good selection of beer and wine, we tried the Intuition Beer that is so popular in this area. It did lot disappoint. Truffle Fries - thinly sliced, served with a delicious homemade aoli. French Onion Soup - traditional presentation, but a slightly sweeter finish. I did not love it, but the cheese and bread were delicious. Bang Bang Shrimp Po Boy - delicious presentation, perfectly cooked shrimp, really delicious. Chicken Pesto Pannini - this was very dry, and I really think I was missing the pesto, so I used the aoli I mentioned earlier. Presentation and the dryness just did not impress me. Oatmeal Cookie - I love a good oatmeal cookie, and this was good. Wedding Cake - another delicious choice. I have to say I favor the original location, mostly because I hate change. But the fact that they serve alcohol, are open for dinner and have cooking classes, this is French Pantry 2.0x

Norma Anguiano The food here is delicious. They have a 3 type of meat plate which came with brisket, pull pork and ribs and 2 sides (the portions was a great size) and it was extremely tasty. My husband had the pork tacos and he also said they were good. Totally recommend. We love coming to mom and pop restaurants so a total recommendation. My kiddos got a complimentary ice pop thank you!

Kelly We stopped here on our way back to Tampa and were pleasantly surprised by the fast service, good food and nice atmosphere! The food was nice & hot!! I only took one photo!

Olga Courtnage The only place we found open on Thanksgiving!!! And it was absolutely perfect. Its very nicely decorated, everything hadxa vintage touch and we quote liked it. Service was excellent, even though the place was very busy. The food is delicious - on the pricy side but we went for a special occasion so didnt mind. Pasta is amazing, tasted authentically homemade. Dessert was very good - a bit expensive. Coming from Canada though everything converts as "expensive,". Overall highly recommend for a nice and enjoyable outing.
