Cosses Place - (Near Pace, FL)

3 /5 Solbrains TenThousand: Cosses Place serves cajun style seafood in Pace, Florida. Cosses is a relaxed restaurant with a small bar, a spacious dining area, as well as outdoor porch seating. Ive enjoyed the seafood basket, and fried shrimp. The garlic and lemon oysters platter, chicken wings, cheese grits, and green beans are all delicious. Sadly, the last time I ate fish at Cosses Place they were out of tartar sauce, which is odd for a seafood restaurant. Everything was cooked to satisfaction and well spiced. The prices are slightly higher than expected for regular size portions. The service was above average. Nice folks at Cosses Place. Monday night karaoke and live music every weekend. The decor is tasteful, the entire place looked clean, the staff was friendly, and the seafood Ive had so far was very tasty. I plan on returning to further explore the cajun menu. Parking is off the scenic highway.

3 /5 CFRF13: Ate here with friends Monday night, apparently Karaoke night, which made it quite loud. Seafood done Creole style, so several dishes were surprisingly spicy. Wings were a disappointment and constantly had to flag our waitress for refills but otherwise a decently fun experience. Highly recommend their gumbo, far and away the best thing I had and the bread that comes with it is so great for dipping.

2 /5 Veronica Farkas: Our first visit, it was absolutely gross. We ordered hush puppies and all I can say is look at the pictures. They were burnt and the middle wasn’t even cooked. My husband and friends all got cheese grits as a side and wow, no salt needed for weeks. They couldn’t even swallow a spoonful. Friend got blackened fish, guess what the salt was fully tasted here as well. For all the great reviews I was excited for my visit. Won’t go back. Our server was horrible but not as bad as the food. We sat next to 2 tables that stayed dirty the whole time we were there. I won’t go back but try it if you choose. With that being said my steak was great.

5 /5 Laura AS: I really enjoyed the food. We ordered gumbo, shrimp poboy and loaded fries. Everything was very tastie. I was hesitant to come here because of some reviews ibread here, but let me tell you, it exceeded my expectations. The waiter was suuuper polite, bathroom was clean and over all, a great experience. I will definitely come back. Price wise, I think is pretty regular, if you compared it with other seafood and Cajun style restaurants.

2 /5 Brandon Jones: Prices on the menu are very high. They were out of the first 2 things I tried to order(jambalaya and Muffuletta) not a good start since these have normal store bought ingredients so no excuse not to have them ready. Crawfish etouffee: extremely buttery and thick, way too much roux, flavor was decent but they were zero crawfish in there, maybe 3 little disintegrated tiny pieces. Pimento Bacon Burger: ton of pimento cheese and wasn’t super flavorful, a lot of bacon and big burger patty which were pretty good, bottom bun was soaked thru with grease tho so it fell apart as picked it up. Baked Mac n cheese: old school with a lot of butter, not bad. Overall I would not return.
