Crabby’s Oceanside - (Near Daytona Beach, FL)

5 /5 The Bearded Mainer Photography: Crabby’s is a new family favorite after our most recent visit. We visit Daytona a few times a year to relax and spend time with family who live here. We decided to have a big family dinner together at Crabby’s and we were so impressed! First of all, our server was so lovely. She was on top of our needs before we needed them, and was very friendly and fun to interact with. Our party of 7 seemed like a breeze to her, and you do not see that level of serving confidence often. I wish I could remember her name so proper credit could be given! The food was delicious. For appetizers, my kiddo and I personally shared the Crabby Rockefeller oysters and a dish of mussels. Soooo good!!! For dinner, I ordered the baked stuffed haddock and was very pleased. The atmosphere was great too! We would have loved to sit outside on the patio with the live mysic, since December Florida temps are summery to us Mainers, but our Florida-resident family members would not have agreed! The dining room was very nice and clean though. So impressed, and I can’t wait for our next trip to Daytona so we can share another meal here.

2 /5 Ke Pie: Crabby’s certainly has one thing going for it - the oceanfront view is beautiful. Unfortunately, the dining experience itself fell far short of expectations. The food was a major letdown. The fried items tasted as though they had been cooked in old, overused grease, which left an unpleasant aftertaste and made the meal difficult to enjoy. For a seafood restaurant in such a prime location, the quality simply wasn’t there. Our server, Michele, could have been far more pleasant and attentive. More concerning, however, was the fact that she appeared to be visibly ill. She repeatedly wiped her runny nose while standing beside our table, which raised serious concerns about hygiene and food handling. While we absolutely understand that people get sick, the lack of precaution in a food service environment was uncomfortable and troubling. Despite these issues, we tried to make the best of the experience, but overall, the combination of poor food quality, inattentive service, and health concerns overshadowed the otherwise lovely setting. Sadly, the view alone is not enough to make this a place we would recommend or return to.

5 /5 Anastasiia Kotiuzhynska: The best restaurant on Daytona Beach! The crab was delicious and it was in promotion so we’ve got a great deal! Hoggfish snapper was so tasty, soft and delicate - one of the best fish in my life! Location is amazing - right on the beach. Service was very good too! Definitely would come back!

5 /5 Douglas Braun: Great meal at Crabbys! We were seated right away even though they were very busy. Our waitress, Michelle was great, very friendly and was always hustling around. Our appetizers (Conch fritters and crab dip) were really good. Our entrees and desserts were excellent too. Make sure you try the key lime pie! Definitely recommend!

4 /5 Jennifer McKenney: Our server Bree was fantastic and we loved the atmosphere. I grew up serving on the west coast of Florida and love to play tourist when I visit my old college town. I dropped in for a beach lunch with friends. The views are obviously incredible, the drinks were good albeit pricy (like all tourist traps), food was solid but not stellar. The mahi and grouper sandwiches were perfect, the seafood platter was delicious. The crabmeat stuffed mushrooms were soggy and liquid filled though and the Cleveland oysters were overcooked and tough. Not the end of the world, we didn’t come for a Michelin dining experience, just to relax and enjoy the views. They had a guy playing live music on guitar about 15’ from our table and it wasn’t overpowering. Good vibes and good service.
