I visited a few Mexican spots before landing at El Potro Mexican Restaurant in Lake City, and I’m so glad I did. From the moment I walked in, Ms. Irma (the hostess on duty) took care of me. She made sure I understood what was happening, walked me through different options, and honestly… she heard what I was trying to say even when I didn’t fully know what to ask for. I knew what I needed, but I didn’t have all the “catering language,” and she helped me put it together into a package that was perfect. The restaurant itself was nicely renovated, very clean, and had a smooth flow, and she even invited me to bring my team in, Irma said she’d love to host my party of 60. What really sealed it for me was her professionalism. She gave me a clean, easy-to-read quote, with everything clearly laid out. And even though they don’t normally offer delivery, she made an exception and made it happen, and that made the entire order feel effortless. And let’s talk about the food: it was an absolute hit. My team loved it. Everything was flavorful, fresh, and top-tier, great food and great service. If you’re ever in Lake City, Florida, and you want amazing Mexican food, or you need catering done the right way, El Potro is the spot. Thank you, Irma.
