2 /5 Crisbel Green: We visited this restaurant on Friday, November 28th around 2pm to celebrate my mother’s birthday. The food was truly exceptional—delicious, flavorful, and beautifully presented. The restaurant is also extremely clean and well-kept, which speaks highly of the establishment.
However, the service we received was disappointing. Our server, Brunella, took our initial order and did not return to the table. From the beginning, her attitude felt indifferent. She did not bring the water we requested for my younger sister, and we never received the dessert menu until we asked another server.
Later, we wanted to order two additional dishes to go as well as a birthday dessert. Because Brunella had not returned, we asked another server, Lucciana, who was very polite and professional, if she could please let Brunella know we needed assistance. We witnessed Lucciana speak to her, and Brunella responded with noticeable irritation and refused to come to the table. At that time, she did not appear to be busy; instead, she spent a significant amount of time conversing with the host and disregarding our table.
When the manager came to the table, I explained the situation, and he mentioned that she was new. I responded that being new and being busy is one thing (and completely understandable, as I have experience working as a server), but refusing service and choosing to socialize rather than attend to guests is an entirely different issue.
It seems the manager ultimately handled our table, which we appreciated, but the experience had already been negatively impacted.
I want to emphasize that the food was outstanding, and we truly enjoyed it. Despite the poor service we received during this visit, we do plan to return because of how much we liked the food. We hope that by then, service standards—especially hospitality and professionalism—will reflect the quality of the kitchen and the establishment overall.
