Whiskey Cake Kitchen & Bar - Jacksonville
Jerice Williams From the moment we walked in, the hostess Erica greeted us with a warm, welcoming smile. She assessed the dining room to ensure wed get seated "not in the back". I so appreciated this as my son and I were in town for a funeral and I was a bit down. Erica replaced our menus proactively because she saw what she initially grabbed was dirty. This meant so much to me. Our server, Ashley A. was amazingly attentive but left us alone enough to talk. Perfect! The bar has levels of whiskeys and bourbons with a librarians ladder to reach the top shelf. Menus is local sourced veggies. Steak frites with parmesan fries were to die for. I had the salmon with fingerling potatoes and charred leeks. AMAZING. Warm Whiskey cake with homemade whipped cream and ice cream for dessert out us over the top but well worth it. Its a feeling of upscale farmhouse dining. Excellent all around. Happy hour was extended this visit so I had the rum punch which took me back to days on the beach in Barbados.
