5 /5 Joi Henry: I already LOVE Sarasota but this is the place I DREAM of when I am not there. From the food to the service, Kojo has been able to set a welcoming, chic and vibey atmosphere for all ages. We went to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday during the time of New Years. We had the kimchi fried rice, fried chicken bao buns, wasabi Ceasar and a few sushi rolls. The bao buns were soft, slightly spicy and full of flavor. The chicken was moist but crunchy at the same time. When the rice came out, it smelled like a vacation in a cast iron skillet. The egg yolk was runny and it balanced out the spiciness of the dish.Outside of the food, our waitress (I wish I could remember her name) was the most kind and attentive. Our glasses of water were NEVER empty. And when we had dessert to celebrate my father-in-laws birthday she noticed none of us were drinking alcohol that night and instead of champagne to celebrate, she gave us Ginger Ale! I thought that was so thoughtful! Every time I visit Sarasota, Kojo will ALWAYS be on my list!

5 /5 Dirk Reckerman: This is a Top 5 restaurant all time for me. The food, the drinks, the service were excellent. Me, my wife and my son went here on a lark. Every single dish from starters to dessert was unique and delicious. The pork nap buns, the wontons, the crispy rice bites, and the caviar nigiri were full of flavor. We followed that with the Shanghai noodles, NY Strip steak. And finished with the matcha donuts and chocolate bar. The services were attentive and super nice. And the food was fired quickly but was unrushed. Loved the music, vibe and ambiance of the restaurant as well. Highly recommend!

5 /5 Emil Vajgrt: Stopped at Kojo for an elevated night out to celebrate my new engagement with my fiancé and we were treated with class from the start! When we got to our table there was a hand-drawn card congratulating us on our engagement! This is a tapas-style resturant so we ordered the gyoza, Kojo roll, black miso cod, and rock shrimp bao buns. everything was exceptional! Since we were celebrating our engagement, they even threw in a complimentary dessert — which was also AMAZING! If you are looking for a nice night out in downtown , Kojo should be at the top of the list!

5 /5 Veronika Trifonova: Kojo is always a win. We absolutely love the pork belly bao buns—soft and delicate, filled with rich, perfectly cooked pork and bright, balanced toppings. The yellowtail with jalapeño is fresh, clean, and perfectly balanced with just the right touch of heat. Thoughtful execution, beautiful presentation, and consistently great flavors. The drink menu is just as impressive—intricate, creative, and thoughtfully crafted, with flavors that pair beautifully with the food. One of our favorite spots in Sarasota.

5 /5 yudis dominguez: I celebrated my birthday at Kojo with a group of five, and it was an amazing experience from start to finish. We absolutely loved the food, the service, and the overall atmosphere. The restaurant’s decor is beautiful and modern, and one of the highlights was the open kitchen view, where you can watch the chefs preparing the dishes while you dine. Our server was extremely polite and attentive and did a wonderful job helping us with the wine selection, which made the evening feel even more special. Everything was well explained, and the service was warm and professional throughout the night. Overall, the combination of excellent food, outstanding service, and a unique dining atmosphere makes Kojo a perfect place for celebrations or a special night out in Sarasota. We truly enjoyed our dinner and would definitely return.
