Krispy Krunchy Chicken - (Near Green Cove Springs, FL)

Tim SURPRISINGLY GREAT!!! Some of you may question this review - give it a chance. The woman who greeted us and took our order was EXCELLENT. She gave us good information on the menu we were unfamiliar with and was patient. Her customer service skills were on point. We ordered a blackened whitefish meal with a shrimp skewer, 36 fried shrimp, and six hush puppies. The food was good. No complaints. It’s not world class but it was under $35 for all that food! My kids loves the shrimp and I felt that I had something moderately not unhealthy. Plenty of parking and seating makes eating here easy. I understand (not first hand) the bathrooms were not clean. I recommend at least giving this a chance.

Britney Megnath I got the street chicken souvlaki and I really liked it. It was pretty big and there was fries in it which made it super good. It had mustard which I didn’t expect I normally don’t like mustard but it was ok. I really liked the wrap itself. My boyfriend got the burger and he really likes it he said it’s one of his fav spots to get a burger in Gainesville. We ordered inside and our food took about 15 minutes. I would recommend this place, it is even cheaper than a lot of places on university.

Nia What a hidden gem! This rustic, slightly divey spot has so much charm and character. The food portions are huge and absolutely delicious — every bite felt homemade with love. And the key lime pie? Hands down the best I have ever tasted — creamy, tangy, and unforgettable. Definitely a must-visit!

Crystal Fuentes We are regulars here at Big John’s, and i tell everyone to go all the time for the pulled pork sandwich and the service. But today Lindsey and the crew made it a wonderful experience. They had ran out of our favorite chip sauce, and they were so kind to make more fresh just for us, and then they gave us extra chips bc it was the end of the night so we can eat all of the sauce they made for us. Thank you!!

Stacy Holley I’m from Texas. I have been eating tacos way every week for about a year. I usually just order the same thing every time. The street taco with chorizo on a corn tortilla (house made, btw), and an Elote (street corn) have made me feel like I’m back at home in Texas. It’s so hard to find good authentic Mexican food around these parts, I had all but given up until I found this little hole in the wall. Not to mention they have a nice selection of salsas and hot sauces on the bar! The staff is friendly and the food is good. Go try it!!!

Maria P Incredible, juicy meat. Everything is extremely tender. The flavor is amazing! Not too salty, not too hot. The green salsa has the perfect amount of heat! Red salsa usually scares me but it has a bit of a creamy consistency. The food came out fast. The truck was busy with 5+ orders ahead of mine. The service was great. They have a shaded area for you to stand under when you order and a shaded spot to enjoy your amazing meal!
