Lakis Restaurant - (Near Ocala, FL)

Dustin Hostetler Early dinner at 530 pm in the tourist off season was unrushed and uncrowded. See the included photos of the current menu with prices. The calamari was breaded in some of the lightest, crispiest breading weve tried to date. The dipping sauce seemed to be soy based with a splash of fish sauce maybe...it was very unique and tasty. The spicy Thai red curry seafood and linguine was delicious and filling. Just enough heat (spice) to leave your mouth humming slightly at the end of the meal. The beef short rib fettuccine was so well executed and the beef clearly was hand prepared in house. This entire meal reminded us of upscale comfort food. We enjoyed our meal and will be back. We did not include the extensive alcoholic beverage menu in our pictures as we did not consume alcohol with our meal. We also did not include the specials menu that had three or four different options.

Maher Azem Very Nice buffet with a great selection of freshly made salads, soups, hot beans, and meat options including grilled chicken, fish, beef stroganoff, and sizzling Brazilian steak. For the price, it’s better to be a carnivore! Desserts were included. Place was clean and very busy. Well staffed and pleasant customer service. They would talk to you in Portuguese by default. Grilled chicken was slightly dry, would have been nice if it had some juiciness. Creme caramel was yummy. I enjoyed most salads and the stroganoff. Recommended if in the area.

Margaret Bartell-Black Wow! What a cool place! Under the bridge, lots of parking, VW car show was there, great shrimp and burger. In fact, if you spend $25 on your meal and.pay in cash, you get a 1/2 lb of steamed shrimp for free! I forgot to take a pic of my burger, but it was very good! The View of the intercostal and the sunset was an extra plus. Great family place too.

a n Food was absolutely delicious, i always hate how most steak restaurants make their steaks so salty, but this place makes it with just the perfect amount of seasoning, drawing out the tender beef than the burnt salt outer layer. I love the fresh vegetables and the mango milkshake is the best. The service was slow because there was only 1 person handling everything, but she did it incredibly well and was extremely sweet and friendly. It was a very peaceful atmosphere and Id definitely recommend eating here.

Star Cooper Very loud. Had reservations for 11. Mgr did let us sit in an area he could adjust speakers. Yay...we can hear each other. Food was excellent, staff was great.

Mind Set On Travel Can’t say enough about the Columbian Cafe at the Tampa Bay History Center. Based on the original Columbian Resturant in Ybor City, this location has both inside and outside (with heaters in winter time). Bars in both areas happy to serve you while waiting for your table. Highly suggest getting the red or white Sangria and the 1905 Salad which is made table side. The Cuban is a must have while the Chicken Dishes are plenty full. Stop by the gift store.
