4 /5 Tara Traylor: Came for brunch with a friend this morning, neither of us had ever been here before. Overall, good and would revisit.
First impression is that it was moderately busy when we arrived. Its an open kitchen and all of staff were smiling and hustling! Majesti was clearly an awesome team lead. Timothy on the register was very polite and professional.
The floor was sticky throughout the restaurant, but the one of two working bathrooms was clean. We waited quite a long time for our food, but this seems normal for the environment - so be patient. I went in to check a couple of times, the second time I checked with JT, he confirmed our order was in queue and kindly apologized for the wait. A few minutes later, JT actually brought our food out to the patio. Even though our ticket said dine in, it was boxed to go. He truly could not have been nicer.
Re: the food, my friend ordered the biscuits and mushroom gravy. I ordered the retro with scrambled eggs and added sausage gravy.
The biscuits were ON POINT and the bacon was thick and well cooked. Bonus is they circulate with sweet cinnamon biscuits that have a glaze (these are free and dang delicious!). Both of our gravies were excessively salty, however, the sauces were thick and unbroken which was nice. The smash potatoes were like a fried potato pancake. The flavor was great but they were fried a little hard and seemed maybe the grease may have been dirty or turned up too high.
I will definitely return to try the other dishes we saw turned out from the kitchen. The price was an excellent value for the food we received.
