5 /5 David Matthew: If you haven’t been to Munchies Live BBQ yet, stop what you’re doing and go, the chopped chicken is INSANELY good. Like, shockingly good. Perfectly smoked, juicy, and full of flavor on its own, but when you hit it with any of their sauces, it’s next level. Every single sauce is a win, but that jerk vinegar sauce is straight-up addictive, tangy, spicy, and just the right amount of kick. It ties everything together and makes you wonder why every BBQ joint doesn’t serve it. Friendly crew, great portions, and food that tastes like someone actually cares about what’s coming off the pit. Hands down one of the best BBQ spots in Central Florida.

1 /5 T: I came across this place on Facebook and saw the good reviews and was really excited to try it tonight. I will say the staff working was 100% amazing and super nice, so this has nothing to do with their attitudes. I honestly debated on bringing the food back after the first bite, the brisket was so bad. Closer to jerky than juicy brisket. The worst I’ve ever had. As my husband said, “this brisket needs CPR, I’d be embarrassed to serve this.” And the sides were very small. I only ate 3 fries before I took this photo. Maybe their other meats are better, but for $44 for 2 for meat this hard to eat, we probably won’t be back

5 /5 Nate: Very good bbq. 5 minute walk from seaplane parking at Lake Dora. Brisket sandwich was excellent, Mac n cheese passed the test. Try the thick and sweet sauce. A few bucks shy of $30 for brisket sandwich, 2 sides and sauce. Good value by BBQ standards. Service was excellent and quick. The meat felt fresh. Indoor and outdoor seating available on premises along with some outdoor games, though I ate at the dock. I will be returning in the future. Great splash in lunch spot.

5 /5 Mike Cool Guy: Beware of the dry rub seasoning, highly addictive and delicious!! Now I put it on everything, even my icecream! Their seasoning shaker stays at the dinner table next to the salt and pepper. Pulled pork is out of this world!! Dont buy one seasoning shaker, buy 4 like I did, maybe more! Youll regret running out!

5 /5 Randy J: First time in Tavares and saw this bbq stand/restaurant near the hotel and tried it for lunch. Oh my! Brisket sandwich is homerun. Cuban sandwich is so good. Laid back, super friendly, one of the owners working the bbq grill outside by the outdoor tables. Lake view. What a fun find!
