Sav W. The Oar is a favorite and consistently provides an incredible dining experience. The menu is creative, refreshing, and full of flavor. We love to try the specials, and there is something for every palette. Side note: The burrata is the best I’ve had. It tastes so fresh and light, and I love the pesto it comes with. Back to the point: I’ve thoroughly enjoyed every bite I’ve had here from the apps (escargot, octopus, fried green tomatoes, mussel special, etc.) to the entrees (pasta, duck, fish like the tuna special this time, etc.) to the desserts. My family fought over the wagyu bolognese pasta like a pack of hungry animals. Thank you to The Oar for the fabulous food, lovely staff, and wonderful dining experiences that you give to the community!

Jennifer Alcaraz A hidden gem in downtown Lakeland! The loaded Mac with pulled pork was heavenly and a perfection portion to share. We also tried the pork belly taco and brisket taco, which were my favorites. Both incredibly juicy, tender and packed with flavor. We ordered at the window and had the option of indoor or outdoor seating, but ultimately chose outside to enjoy the atmosphere and live music. Definitely recommend stopping by!!

Kevin Fletcher Looking for BBQ in Titusville FL area? You must visit SUGAR SHACK BBQ… just the perfect smoke and the ribs are so well seasoned they don’t need to be smothered in sauce. The owner Jennifer, is just a ball of liquid energy. She let us sample a few sides and their unmeasured portions are overly generous. THANK JEN. Check out her pix on the website.
