Chef Ts Garden Grill - Lakeland

Rating: 4.7 /5
C Lane Me and my wife dined at Chef Ts for New Year’s Eve, so glad to see it open. The food as always was amazing. We have never had a bad meal. The grouper had so much taste it was the best I have ever had. But the escargot WOW. No other words can explain it. Beautiful atmosphere and a extensive wine selection. Thanks to Paul for being our server you were great.

Harrys Old Place - Winter Haven

Dr. Anjie Richard-Jones Harrys Old Place is a quaint nostalgic place nestled on Lake Ned. We started our meal with smoked salmon dip, gator sausage, served with creamy pimento cheese & bbq dipping sauce. The starters were fresh, delicious and packed with flavor. We sipped on ice cold half sweet tea and unsweetened tea and an Arnold Palmer which was served in a 3 cup mason jar. For our main dish, we had the Grouper Special with shrimp, scallops, and crab meat in a garlic butter sauce served with new potatoes and savory cheese grits. We also tried the Corvino Monterey with artichokes hearts, sun dried tomatoes, mushrooms, garlic white wine sauce and parmesan cheese that was coupled with seasonal vegetables and rice pilaf. For dessert, we had the salted caramel cheesecake and key lime pie. Overall, everything was delicious. We will definitely be back!

Dustin Hostetler Early dinner at 530 pm in the tourist off season was unrushed and uncrowded. See the included photos of the current menu with prices. The calamari was breaded in some of the lightest, crispiest breading weve tried to date. The dipping sauce seemed to be soy based with a splash of fish sauce maybe...it was very unique and tasty. The spicy Thai red curry seafood and linguine was delicious and filling. Just enough heat (spice) to leave your mouth humming slightly at the end of the meal. The beef short rib fettuccine was so well executed and the beef clearly was hand prepared in house. This entire meal reminded us of upscale comfort food. We enjoyed our meal and will be back. We did not include the extensive alcoholic beverage menu in our pictures as we did not consume alcohol with our meal. We also did not include the specials menu that had three or four different options.

Maria Vega Absolutely superb. If you live in Ocala or if you are just visiting, dont miss this amazing restaurant. High quality food reasonably priced. Servers also amazing. Drinks very well prepared. We had the strogonoff and chicken parmigiana. Both awesome. Desserts spectacular. Go for the bread pudding.

Audrey Klunenberg Stopped by this weekend and it was honestly pretty dope. The different salsas they brought out at the start of the dinner kept us sated as we reviewed the menu. I can’t remember the name of the marg I got but the drink menu is different from the one online! As for food I had the tamales, esquites, and pappitas. I chose the ancho sauce and with a little bit of help from the six different bottles of salsa on the table to choose from, I devoured my plate.

Pho Saigon Punta Gorda - Punta Gorda

Rating: 4.6 /5
Mark Thomas I cant eat at the Belgian Monk every time Im in Punta Gorda. So I decided to go next door, to Pho Saigon. A big menu with appetizers, pho, vermicelli & rice dishes grouped separately. I like that. And a first for me: different sizes. I ordered the Pho Hai San, small, because I really wanted seafood. It come with shrimp (2), fish balls (not what your thinking), octopus, squid & supposedly scallops of which I didnt see any. I do wish the tails were removed from the shrimp so I dont have to dig around in my hot soup with bare fingers. A side plate had bean sprouts and a huge slice of jalapeño. Everybody in the pool! The broth was a bit blah but with Sriracha, fish sauce, soy sauce and hoisin on the table, doctoring it to taste is easy-peasy. The staff was friendly at noon on a Wednesday in season and speedy. I was eating 5 minutes after I sat down. The restaurant is very roomy with tons of space to navigate a wheelchair. One wall has booths, the rest of the seating is tables and chairs plus there is room at the bar for 5-6. A side note: the chopsticks are not the disposable kind (usually bamboo), they are reusable, washable plastic. A bit harder for me to grab with but not thrown out after the meal. Ill gladly come back.
