5 /5 pam s.: Every time I visit Port St Joe or Mexico Beach, a dinner at the White Marlin is mandatory. Not only are the views second to none, but the food is also outstanding. The oysters and sushi have always been fresh and beautifully presented, and I dream about the scallops. Over Thanksgiving I had the filet and lobster tails… this last trip (late Dec) our party shared plates so I was able to try crab cakes, crusted grouper, the ribeye, lobster tacos, and pear salad. Rave reviews all around. The cocktail list has never disappointed, and the white wines have a lovely variety for seafood parings. I’m particularly fond of the dry cava brut & the dry but bright chard… perfection.
Beyond the location and menu, it’s the staff that makes the White Marlin a standout. The ever smiling Alex is an absolute delight, and it was wonderful to see him again, even though he wasn’t our server this trip — Kyle took exceptional care of us & the parents. Alex stepped in as family photographer for a few photos at sunset and they’re amazing. We snuck into the Oysterette to say hi to our favorite CEO of Perfectly Cooked Meat, the man, the myth, the amiable legend of the grill… Chile. Can’t wait to come back on our next visit to the beach house.
