Clif Boyce Our family is in town for Thanksgiving and were looking for a restaurant close to our hotel. We found a gem at La Hacienda Mexican Restaurant. I had the burrito loco, my wife had chimichangas, and our son had the enchiladas supreme. All were EXCELLENT and nice portions too. Great food, reasonably priced and if I lived in Dade City, this would be a favorite. Oh, the Margaritas are delicious too! Its definitely a must stop when we are in town.

Scott Adair It’s an amazing small town business whit a family friendly atmosphere. Full of great sandwiches and drinks of all kinds. A must stop if your out in about. Stop by and check this unique place out.

Athena We randomly walked around, looking for a decent place for lunch, and the place captivated our hearts. Very clean place, service was fast. Taste and quality of food was amazing, and the wait time was acceptable. To top it all, we spent around $35 on lunch for two people, with plateful of food.

Jennifer Hurst My review: Food was amazing, this is true authentic soul food. Nothing was too salty, everything had seasoning and an amazing taste. We had meatloaf, ribs, fried chicken, collard greens, Mac and cheese, beans, fried okra, broccoli casserole, mashed potatoes and gravy, roll and cornbread, peanut butter pie and coconut cream pie. Nothing and I mean nothing was bad, everything was amazing! The customer service, the staff was so sweet and asked us if we’ve ever been, we hadn’t so they showed us how to order properly. You don’t touch anything but grab the tray, they get the plates and serve you. The server was very attentive as well, she was even helping people with their trays to the table. Now I’d like to address other people’s reviews. I’ve seen people talk about the older gentleman that’s “rude” and “yells”. This man is an older African American man, he isn’t rude nor yelling, he’s speaking a bit louder for you to understand him through the glass and he’s trying to be quick so everyone can get through the line. Also anyone saying the food doesn’t taste good, I swear is lying! I have no ties to this restaurant not even this city, came in for a race and this food was absolutely amazing. I can tell by the reviewers that left awful reviews were a certain palm color and it’s apparent they’ve never been around a black family or they wouldn’t speak on the man’s voice being “loud and rude” OR the food being “nasty” if you’ve never had melt in your mouth meats and SEASONED sides, just say that. Every time I pass through Dade City my family and I will be back! Also to add the price for all my food listed was $63.00 without tips, absolutely amazing price for great service and portions.

Evil Peanut First time in, on my birthday, which girlfriend told our waitress, O why Peanut did u do that. Came here when it was BBQ & Ice Cream, Timmy Jons is "WAY BETTER" Armadillo Egg is killer, Im a big pickle fan, so thanks for having pickles with it. As u can see by the pictures we got a little bit. Wasnt a fan of them coming out a singing happy birthday, but what can u do. Really liked the sweet potato casserole, the corn casserole is to die for, & the fried cabbage w/ bacon was really good. After eating all that barely touched the meat, did try a rib it was also really good. Its a must try to have the meat plain to see how the cook it. Then if ur a fan of sauce go for it, but like mine just how they cook it. All the meats was amazing, unfortunately a woman came in & bought all their sausage just before we got there. I love sausage, so that was disappointing, but I guess next time I come in will have to get that. If that woman came in to buy out the sausage, it must be really good! The experience was really good, didnt get a receipt so cant remember our waitresses name, I know it started with a "T" but thats it. See was spot on with all our needs. Will be seeing yall soon!

David Lewis Finally decided to try this place out after knowing about it for almost 2 years an all I can say is why did I wait so long. The food was well above my expectations, I had the bacon wrapped lamb shank an my wife had the beef wellington an both dishes were absolutely melt in your mouth delicious. The service was outstanding and the chef brought desert to the table an asked how everything was. We will definitely make this place a regular visit a couple times a month and if youre ever in the area I highly recommend you stop an get ready to enjoy some amazing food!

Chris and Tanya Our service here was great! Our drinks were refilled quickly, our food orders came out correctly, and our server was very friendly. My husband and I ordered one pasta dish to share. They split them in the back for us, which was so nice of them. The prices are reasonable, and the portion sizes are a great value for the money. Overall, we had a great time here, and we plan to go back soon.

Hugo Toledo Wow! Who knew?!?! Well, apparently lots of folks! I’d not been to a Captain D’s before. I went there because it was across the street from our new vet. Man, what a pleasant surprise for me! We loved everything we tried, which was a lot seeing as we order a couple of different meals. I first went there a few weeks ago and on coming to Google Maps to check their hours of operation just now, I realized I’d been remiss and not left a review then. Great taste, generous portions, AND very friendly service both in person and over the phone when I just called to confirm the hours show here were correct. Easy access to the restaurant from US-301, with dine-seating and drive through. We were last there for lunch—it was a Thursday—and it was pretty quick. Especially so, they were friendly and patient in answering our questions, Planning to go back in a couple of days!

Brendan Ahlf Initially seeing this place on Google, I saw that this bakery had more than just baked goods and also served breakfast and lunch. I came in and saw some good looking baked goods like apple crumbled pie, a variety of jumbo cookies, and other such things. I ended up getting the filet o fish meal with no bread and a side of tots and a canned drink for a dollar more. And so the total was only $13 before tax and tip. It took a bit to get the meal out, but I wasnt bothered by it. It was freshly made and included house made tartar sauce. After I finished I grabbed some baked goods on the way out for and my family. Total for the baked goods was only $29 before tax. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a casual meal or a nice baked treat.

Naturally E This was such a great lil’ spot! The food was absolutely delicious. I had the shrimp & grits and they were amazing. Our waitress was great. In fact, everyone was kind- even the bartender. The only one complaint I have is that the bathroom wasn’t as clean as it should’ve been. It was dirty- but it definitely smelled like the floors needed to be mopped. Otherwise, spot on!!

Sandy Marenco An amazing colorful place that takes you through cuisine and music to Mexican lands! The food is finger-lickin’ good and the ice cream is out of this world! They also have a supermarket with lots of Mexican herbs, munchies, trinkets and more… YOU GUYS MUST GO!
