5 /5 Theresa Lynn: First time going to this restaurant. It was so good! Good really is not the correct word it was superb! Although it sits in a small town, it has a big town flavor. We decided to share a meal and there was enough to take home. The ribs and BBQ were the best I have ever eaten. They were meaty, seasoned just right and cooked to perfection! The chicken was extraordinary! They have a great selection of sides and really great southern tea! You cannot go wrong if you choose to stop here. They also have beer and wine for those who chose to indulge in those. We didnt get dessert because we were absolutely satisfied with our food. The cakes though at the counter were baked to perfection as well and we were very tempted to purchase and take home but decided to take a 1/2 rack of ribs home for Sunday dinner instead. We will definitely be going back soon. I hope you will try this restaurant. It is worth the drive.

5 /5 Stacy Ennis: What a neat lil place to grab some lunch. Well, I said "lil" but its actually very roomy inside. Super clean, the nicest staff, Great food and large portions for very reasonable prices. We will definitely be back.

4 /5 Hyland Solutions Business Group LLC: in town looking for work and needed lunch… googled restaurants and decided yo give this place a shot… upon entry i was greeted pleasantly and offered a seat “anywhere”. my waitress was a pretty young lady name felecia… she asked me what i’d have and as usual i asked what they are known for… she said everything was good, but her and another young waitress said for me to try the brisket(sandwich)… obviously i eat and review a lot of bbq, so im always skeptical of brisket in GA, as its usually no wiggle in the jiggle… while i can’t say this was texas quality, its definitely one of the better brisket cuts ive had is GA… now as usual i asked if the mac’n’cheese was baked, she assured me it was… and it was… but it did underperform… while piping hot, noodles were a little over, and cheese just didn’t cheesey like i like… fortunately i was offered a side of seasoned fries which made up for the lack’o’mac… the house bbq was tasty and not a doctored up store brought… so was i pleased and it was very good on my fries… the mustard sauce was a ga blend, it has flavor, just not my cup of tea… overall this was an awesome meal experience and i’d eat here again and recommend you do so to.

5 /5 Rose: I have never ever tasted wonderful food that tasted as good as my mother’s , may she rest in peace till I stopped at CJ’S restaurant in Portal Ga. Zip of 30450- sooo. Country. Tasting DELICIOUS- Portal is only 20 minutes outside of Statesboro Ga. Just use Google Maps to find it.. it is Amazing, down to earth Good, Nice People who work there & this is my second time within 2 weeks. Great - yummy, delicious food, desserts also. Relaxing environment.
