David’s Tavern and Grill -Food CA (Near Monroe)

3 /5 Kalinda Exum: It was our first time here, food was good service was okay. It took 45 minutes for us to get our food, which with a 5 year old felt like forever. Good vibe of the place and everyone was friendly enough.

3 /5 Stephanie Bar-Haim: The atmosphere was lively and the service staff were friendly, though a bit on the slower side. Unfortunately, I left disappointed with the meal itself—the portion sizes felt small for the price, and the quality didn’t quite match expectations. It seemed like the focus was more on the music and entertainment than on the food. The restaurant is still in transition from its former identity to this new one, and while the vibe is fun, I think the menu and value need some refining to really make it stand out.

5 /5 Dora Grubb: Wonderful place that let our Real Estate brokerage have our team meeting there at lunch time. Great server was fantastic and very accommodating. Loved the place, style & decor. I esp love the music room for live bands, stand up comedy etc. My plan is to go back on the weekends to hear the music and see the shows.

1 /5 Russell Ledford: Came on a steady night, got stuck with a server that had a large party and after taking our order we never really saw her again. Food was decent, but pricey for what you get…the fried chicken dinner (no description on menu) was $22 and was a single breast and 2 small sides. Drinks were ok, no prices listed on menu though. I won’t be back…way better options for better much less money. Bistro South still reigns supreme in Monroe. Bottom line, they won’t last with the prices, portions, and lack of service.

2 /5 M & L: Not sure if they are just working out the kind of what but it was a bizarre place. Basics like silverware, water and ordering a beer took forever and still they had to come back and ask what we were having. Once the food arrived we again had to ask for condiments, napkins etc… and our $14 burger arrived in a french fry paper tray that was undersized and tacky. No thanks.
