5 /5 Mitchell B: Had the beef brisket plate because its all about that beef. The brisket was properly rendered while remaining juicy. No dried out meat here. It had a nice smoky flavor while letting the flavor of the meat shine through. The sauce was good, with a hint of honey. You should definitely try this place out. Its very clean. The owners were really nice too, had a good conversation.

We recently visited Flavor of Texas in Milledgeville, and from the moment we walked in, we knew we were in for something special. The service was outstanding — warm, attentive, and genuinely friendly, making the whole experience feel like a visit to a good friend’s home. Now onto the food: perfection. I had the brisket with hot barbecue sauce, and it was nothing short of phenomenal — tender, smoky, and the sauce brought just the right amount of heat without overwhelming the meat’s natural flavor. It’s easily some of the best brisket I’ve had anywhere. The Brunswick stew was a pleasant surprise. I’d never had it served hot like that before, and it was absolutely delicious. Every spoonful had depth and comfort. The baked beans came packed with a smoky, meaty flavor that elevated them from a side to a star. The potato salad also impressed — creamy, tangy, and perfectly seasoned. My wife ordered the pork sandwich with fries, and both were excellent. The sandwich was flavorful and juicy, and the fries were crispy and well-seasoned — the kind you just keep reaching for. The atmosphere matched the food: warm, inviting, and full of Southern charm. You can tell this place is built on passion for good food and good people. We will absolutely be back, and we’re already recommending Flavor of Texas to friends and family. If you’re in the area and craving amazing barbecue, do yourself a favor and stop by. You won’t regret it!

4 /5 Pamela B: I was looking for some good BBQ and this place did not disappoint--absolutely delicious!! The meat was smoky, tender and packed with flavor and the sauces complemented it perfectly. The sides were fresh and hearty and the portions were generous. And the baked potato (I added pulled pork) was so yummy! Service was friendly and quick, and the atmosphere had the BBQ vibe--warm and inviting--Texas style! Reasonably priced too!

3 /5 Bill Ratajczak: I ordered the meat, brisket, nachos. When I got back at work no meat on the nachos. Tried to call the order in. No one answered the phone. Check your order before you leave, hit or miss on service. Second time going there, 1 out of 2 Edit: I did get a refund for my order that was not correct. Will eat here again. Edit: When back to try the nachos. The brisket was tender, juicy, and wonderful. My hats off to the owner. They made it right by me. Try the nachos 10/10

5 /5 Hector Morales: Lady Fisher, Fish, and their crew are fantastic. All of the food is great and yesterday we ate some of the best ribs theyve ever served! Fish even carried the two Big TX trays out to the car for us. Above and beyond. Well be back for sure.
