Glen-Ella Springs Hotel & Restaurant - (Near Clarkesville, GA)

5 /5 Robert Gordon: The lodge is very rustic. The last few miles of the approach is a gravel-dirt road and the entrance and exit to the parking lot are very steep. Not a good place to bring a low to the ground sports car. The rooms are clean and adequately furnished but quite small and the heating system was not the best for a cold New Years Eve. Now for the best parts. The staff is wonderful and everyone was very helpful. The restaurant is extraordinary (basis for 5-star rating) and offers a first-class dining experience, the best in the region. I enjoyed an exceptional pastry encrusted Brie and a very fresh spinach salad dressed with an outstanding raspberry vinaigrette (the chef shared the recipe with me!). The rack of lamb entree paired with maple sugared sweet potatoes (picture)was equally outstanding. For desert I had peppermint ice cream with chocolate sauce, both prepared fresh on the premises. Portions are generous. There are many other great choices on the menu. The service is not rushed, a very good thing here. My wife shared my enthusiasm for the dining experience. This is a must-go-to place for dinner when in the area. Dining room is romantic and there were several other guests sharing special occasions here. Awesome experience. Will definitely return.

5 /5 Jehan Sood: The location of this hotel was a piece of paradise IMO. Coming from South Florida the specatcular view of the green meadow with the Fall foliage (in all its glorious colors) outside the room porch, took our breath away the first morning! The rooms were warm, cosy, country style decorated and comfortable with an organic touch to it. The service overall was excellent both at the front desk and restaurant and the restaurant itself was the icing on the cake! The food was both delightful and healthy... with perfect cuts of meat, fresh fish, poultry....having unique flavors and cooked to perfection. My husband as a matter of fact felt that this restaurant should be Michellin rated!!!

5 /5 Douglas Bearden: I took my wife here for her birthday, definitely exceeded my expectations! The staff was amazing and very helpful as well as accommodating. The room was a mixture of old time feel as well as modern comfort which made for a romantic setting. The restaurant at the inn had delicious food and A+ service as well at a very reasonable price. All in all I would recommend this place for a romantic getaway or as a stress free weekend. 10/10!!!

5 /5 Sissy Evans: We enjoyed the most wonderful, peaceful experience at GlenElla Springs. We dined in both evenings and enjoyed our dinners as well as the yummy breakfasts each morning. The staff were lovely and accommodating. It truly is a special place!

5 /5 Stephen Harden: The Inn is lovely, charming, comfortable, cozy, rustic, and historic. The customer service is first rate. Don’t miss having dinner in the restaurant. The food and service were perfect… elegant without being pretentious. This was an anniversary trip for us and we couldn’t have been more pleased. If you love being off the beaten path and nestled in the woods, this is the place for you. We’ll be back.
