david baxter The wife and I have been exploring new restaurants whenever we visit a new city. We decided to try Mexican cuisine, and this place exceeded our expectations. The barlilia tacos were the best we’ve ever had, and we’ve had many from various places. The food was incredible, and the service was impeccable. If they maintain this level of quality, this restaurant could become a popular destination for those seeking Mexican food. We thoroughly enjoyed our experience and want to express our gratitude for the wonderful service and delicious food.

It was as if an army of highly trained hospitality ninjas were waiting on me hand and foot, anticipating my every need before I even knew I had it. And lets not forget the piece de resistance - the red snapper. Mamma mia, it was like a taste explosion in my mouth!

Jalain O We stopped in Darien during a road trip specifically to eat at a small local spot. Our mistake was we misunderstood the dog policy. The staff was so friendly and accommodating as we sat outside in some drizzling rain with our pup. They made our girl some eggs and our order of pancakes and avocado toast was delicious!!! The patrons proved its the friendliest town!! Our dog was loved by all and we had no problem sitting on the adorable patio during breakfast. The coffee is wonderful and the service is warm and welcoming!!!

Taking a Foodie Lyfe Tour was just what my taste buds ordered, and Decanter Chophouse was the crown jewel of the experience! From the moment we stepped inside, the elegant ambiance—dim lighting, plush leather booths, and a stunning wine wall—set the stage for an unforgettable evening. The steak was absolutely superb—perfectly seared, buttery-soft, and bursting with flavor. My medium-rare ribeye arrived with a gorgeous crust, glistening under a drizzle of herb-infused butter. Every bite melted like a dream! Paired with their magnificent wine selection (a bold Cabernet Sauvignon recommended by their expert sommelier), it was pure perfection. The presentation was Instagram-worthy, with each dish plated like a work of art. Service was impeccable—attentive but never intrusive, with staff who clearly took pride in the dining experience. If you’re looking for fine dining done right, Decanter Chophouse won’t disappoint. 10/10—will be back!
