Ocmulgee Brewpub - (Near Macon, GA)

John Pomeroy This place is one of the best restaurants I have ever been. When you enter through the doors you are greeted with a happy, welcoming staff. The place has a comfortable cozy feel to it. It is very clean as well. The food was very good and reasonably priced. I got the Pretzel as an appetizer and the brisket sandwich with fries. There coffee is probably one of the best and most fresh cups I have ever had. They definitely do things right. You will not be disappointed if you get a meal here. Our server was great as well, very polite and did her job very well. The view of the mountains is also a very great extra bonus as well.

Deborah Car trouble on a road trip found my husband and I stopped in Perry for emergency service. A quick Google search for a well reviewed lunch spot found us The Oil Lamp Restaurant. Oh my goodness! That was 3 days ago and were still talking about how wonderfully delighted we were to have a delicious hot lunch with the best service one can only imagine!!! Our trays were taken for us without asking to our table!! I believe because my cane indicated the need for assistance. How refreshing that the staff even took time to notice! The food was beyond exceptional. My granny couldnt have made it any better! Fresh vegetables cooked to perfection; no over cooked butter beans or squash here!! Gravy covered mashed potatoes that were out of this world along with meatloaf and beef roast, green beans... all were absolutely delicious!!! Corn muffins were so good, we wanted to take home a dozen! I can not wait for our next road trip because we are timing it for a stop at The Oil Lamp Restaurant again, you can bet on it!!! Definitely recommended!! 5 stars across the board!

Amanda Jo Venenga Our food was amazing. Drinks even more so. Service was impeccable!!! Our waiter was body very patient and knowledgeable about the menu. Will definitely have to come back. We got the goblin burger, chicken fingers as well as the German Chocolate martini. . . Made with one of the best coconut rums Ive ever tasted. The bar tender was great! Definitely a must eat place when visiting Helen.

Marshall Helms My wife got a barbecue pizza and loved it. Newk’s always slaps. Parking can be difficult depending on the time of day you go. There is tons of seating inside and the restaurant is kept clean, smells great, and was cold. I prefer to be colder.

Mrs. Irene P T My husband and I went on our usual date night the atmosphere was excellent the service was excellent I had the lemon pepper wings and the garlic parmesan wings with fries the wings were ok a bit overcooked had it not been for the grated cheese I wouldnt have been able to tell the lemon pepper from the garlic parmesan I also had fries Im not a fan of the crinkle cut fries but they were ok we went on a Wednesday and the place was empty I also ordered a regular margarita with very little ice but I got one with a lot of ice my husband had the tacos and the house salad which he loved. So all in all it was a great place and I know we will return but Ill try something else. The service was great and very friendly. I think it was a little dark and could use a bit more lighting otherwise it was a good date night and Im sure we will return.

Lyrically Grown Maaan! Went to Starr Lounge last night & the FOOD… AMAZING! Had the Jerk burger… AMAZING! Thought it was a bit pricey until I bit it…Totally understand the pricing!!! Worth every penny! There was a live drummer there playing with the DJ which sounded AWESOME, we danced like college students and we’re waaay past college age! Not a big crowd which was perfect! Super cute spot! My fishbowl was straight koolaid, zero liquor but the food made up for it! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this place!
