1 /5 Caleb Phillips: Poor service. Menu was unappealing and the food was overpriced and plain. Please don’t be like me and spend your money elsewhere on food you’ll actually enjoy.
Update after Owner response: This review is not out of spite, the literal 3 chips were not great (tasted old) and we asked a waiter before leaving if we needed to pay, to which we were told “No, you’re good”. We got to the car and decided where else to go (Margarista’s in Mercer Village was sooo good compared to what we experienced here). The waitress came out of the restaurant and flagged us down. She requested for us to pay $4.75 for a few chips we ate and did not like- to which we complied and did not yell or argue. So again, this review is honest and truthful. We never ate there and wanted to try a new place, and it wasn’t a good fit. You treated us like we were attempting to steal food, but again yall brought the chips and salsa without us asking for them before we could look through the menu.
So yes, the food deserves a one star because the food we consumed, and consequently paid for was not great and overpriced.
The atmosphere was not vibrant and not many people were there for a Saturday lunch, so a one star is fitting in my mind. And clearly based on the owners response and attempt to call into question the character of a new diner, who again was told originally it was no charge, for giving their honest feedback also deserves a one star.
There are countless of five star reviews yall have received, and many may not look through all the reviews. But if anyone considering eating here should read this and ask if this is how you would want your dining experience to be.
