THE CHASTAIN - Restaurant - Atlanta

Rating: 4.5 /5
John Godi The food, service and ambience are all amazing. We will be regulars at this restaurant. We are new to Sandy Springs/ Atlanta and have tried a lot of restaurants in the last 4 months and this is easily the best. The burger is a good as advertised. The halibut with the chanterelles mushrooms was epic. We shared the sweet potatoes and each tried a dessert. All were delicious. The service is top notch. Even the valet were very friendly and efficient.

Last Resort Grill - Athens

Soeleos Music Weve never been to Athens before so we decided to walk the town. We noticed a restaurant, just about opening time, with a line of people. We investigated and it turned out to be a jewel. Very nice atmosphere, signature dishes are a little spendy (Caramelized Scallops =$45), but otherwise ok. Also (most important) the desert case has quite a variety of cakes and cheesecake, we enjoyed German Chocolate cake. Overall, the food was excellent, check the photos, the fish is a huge piece of Trout, and the other is the pasta. Highly recommended.
grits cafe

Grits Cafe - Forsyth

Rating: 4.6 /5
Sydney Zellner Im not usually one to write reviews, but an experience this life-altering deserves documentation. Let me start by saying that Ive had steaks before. I thought I knew steak. I was wrong. The ribeye at Grits cafe has rendered all previous steak experiences null and void. Im pretty sure a celestial choir started singing when they brought it to the table. The staff here are less "waiters" and more "culinary psychics." Our server anticipated our needs before we even knew we had them. My water glass was never less than half-full – a feat of hydration engineering Ive not witnessed since the Hoover Dam was built. When I asked for the steak to be cooked "delicious, please" (I like to keep them on their toes), our server didnt miss a beat, simply smiled, and said, "An excellent choice, maam" and retreated to the kitchen with the confidence of a general. And the steak... oh, the steak. It was a masterpiece, seasoned so perfectly I suspect they have a dedicated salt sommelier on staff. The outside had a beautiful, smoky char, and the inside was a perfect, blushing rare, exactly as requested. It was so tender I genuinely considered leaving my steak knife for the next patron, as a butter knife would have sufficed. The whole experience was so flawless Im convinced the manager has a direct line to a higher power, possibly the Beef Gods themselves. If youre looking for a sign to try this place, consider this review that sign. My only regret is that I didnt order two and almost required a legal separation from the most magnificent ribeye steak I have ever encountered. Five Stars. Go for the staffs mind-reading abilities, stay for the life-altering ribeye. The only minor drawback? Im now pretty sure my own cooking is ruined for me forever.

Wen Tung Great food and service! We really enjoyed our experience here. We loved the Boss pizza and how crispy the crust was. The fried Brussels sprouts were so crispy and tasty. The maple pear cake was delicious. Highly recommend!

Mikata Japanese Steakhouse & Sushi Bar - Albany

John Lewis This was my first time attending this restaurant. I had my doubts but they were eased once the cooked started. He was a respectful young man, and if he made a mistake he corrected with the upmost politeness. Ive heard different opinions about the food, but this was one of the best Japanese Steakhouses Ive ate at in a while. The steak and chicken with rice and vegetables were great. The Both meats were prepared well and really tender!!! I will definitely eat their again. Price point wasnt bad.

Foxtrot Fanny I just love how dogs are treated here. The entire staff fawns all over them as if they’ve never met a dog before. Also they have a funny Tik Tok account. The staff is probably one of the nicest in Augusta. It’s a small spot and they all seem to be friends.
