5 /5 Tina Cameron: Nice! This was our first visit here and definitely not the last! Let’s start with the service, EXCELLENT! The food was amazing as well as the PRESENTATION! I eat with my eyes and I was pleasantly pleased visually and physically lol! Hidden gem in downtown Decatur!!

5 /5 Eric Oswald: What a wonderful experience! So delicious! Spicy tuna roll was perfect! And then their lobster roll was out of this world. Paired it with a margarita and it was amazing. Cute spot for date night. But also great for a bigger party we had 10 people with us.

5 /5 Krissy Rosell: We finally tried our local sushi restaurant, Friday evening. Definitely GO! We had such a pleasant experience. We loved that there are booths & all four seater tables to choose from, along with a cozy, well-stocked bar. The music was enjoyable & not too loud, (easy to carry on a conversation.) All of the staff were welcoming, attentive, & very friendly. We tried 3 sushi rolls, some medium fatty tuna nigiri, edamame, & gyoza. Everything tasted fresh & was presented well. I’m so pleased we discovered just how close yummy sushi is to home! We will definitely go back & also order for delivery.

5 /5 Courtney Whyte: We’ve been waiting for a sushi spot like this for ages! The food was absolutely delicious, from the appetizers to the sushi and sashimi. The rice is perfectly cooked and seasoned, and the fish was so fresh! We highly recommend the Addictive Cabbage and Bang Bang Shrimp to start, and all of the sushi we had was incredible. The service was great too, friendly and attentive with great suggestions. We’ve been back several times already, most recently for an incredible omakase experience. We are so happy to have Takumi as part of the Decatur dining scene. Takumi just keeps getting better and better! We recently enjoyed the omakase experience, which included the chef’s selection of small plates, sashimi, nigiri, hot plate, soup, and dessert. It was a wonderful experience with flavorful and beautifully presented plates. Make sure to ask about the omakase the next time you visit!

5 /5 Pam Gogo: Alright, as a long-time Decatur resident, I am so happy we have a new sushi restaurant on the scene. The food and drinks were tasty! Great drink selection, including Japanese whiskey. With time, I hope they become another local favorite.
