The 1800 Mexican Restaurant - (Near Americus, GA)

4 /5 L S: Wonderful decorations for the holidays. There was a live band that had really good music. I ordered the fajitas and the Mexican Corn to go. When I got home, they hadnt packed the tortillas for my fajitas. Not sure how they missed that. The food was good. Will visit again in my next trip to Americus.

2 /5 Raeann Kingston: Just a little constructive criticism from my experience sitting at the bar on Mother’s Day Sunday. Bar area definitely needs cleaned, smells like throw-up. Walls are very dirty, slipping all over the floor when walking. Seriously though. TV and bar screen was filthy. Tortilla chips are really thin, so when using with guacamole dip, like I did, broke very easily. Also, chips being thin lead to a whole basket of just crumbs. Bar tender was kinda out of it, meaning we had to ask for everything including a menu. This was my first visit, so based on the condition of the bar I didn’t order food. Customer next to me had burger that was brought out with ketchup and mustard packets placed directly on top of French fries. Also, the waiter just ran his hands through his hair then picked up a lime and put in a margarita, as I’m writing this.

4 /5 Pamela B: It was ok. They had a crowd but was very fast with service. Manager stopped by a couple of times to ask how was everything. Drinks were good and strong. They didnt have a drink menu for the bar so you either know what to order or dont. The mojarra fish was fried a little to hard for me but the Americus Fajita was the SO. GOOD. It had five meats (chicken, steak, pork, shrimp and Mexican sausage), grilled onions, peppers and cheese. I would go back just for this if Im in the area again and the prices arent bad either!!

1 /5 Simone Sharp-Bucknor: My food looked good. The rice and beans were good. The “steak” was a slab of fat and grizzle. Ultimately inedible. The manager,who looked like a tiny mean MMA body building wrestler,did not smile, did not apologize. I seemed to have bothering him for not wanting to choke me n grizzle. He grudgingly replaced my whole order. Again, rice and beans were good, steak almost complete grizzle, inedible. On top of which we began to feel drugged. Almost like an actual edible was mixed into the rice (the only thing we both ate as we shared). We had to cut our losses and I left hungry with a massive headache and the giggles. The restaurant itself was relatively clean. Our waiter was very sweet. The food was very disappointing. Make this place a haaaaard pass dawg! (Randy of American Idol)

3 /5 Rita V.: Food was good, but wouldnt recommend hosting an event here. We reserved, but it wasnt written down apparently. Even called a few days before, but still got overlooked. 2. If you dont catch a street parking spot, you will walk a good ways with decorations. Other than that, I did enjoy my meal. Bar service is a little slow compared to other establishments.
