1 /5 Chasity Taylor: My experience at The Social Duck was a -100/10. The place was really nice and was clean. Upon entering, we were told to sign a waiver and then shown to our lane we reserved. We sat down started reading the menu and ordering food. The waitress after getting food orders let us know our time had already started. We had know idea, so needless to say we did not get to even finish our game. The balls did keep getting stuck, so I’m not sure if that is a mechanical issue or just how it works. Our food arrives and as we started to eat, our game was over and we were asked to moved to a different area because the lanes were reserved for someone else. Now there were other lanes open so we could have at least finished eating where we were. We got up and moved and service went down from there. One of the members of our party did not like the nachos, so she did ask if they could be swapped out and the waitress (black lady, tattoos, piercings, short hairstyle) informed us since it appeared to be eaten out of, she could not. Our guest ordered other food, but while ordering she asked about the wings. She was specifically wanting a equal amount of flats to drums ratio because prior wing plates only contained majority drums. The waitress immediately said no. Honestly her energy was off so we called for a manager. The manager Vincent came over and he answered any and all questions. He was able to swap the food and told us the wing plate could be accomplished. The waitress did a horrible job of explaining the different type of fries options. Then when we learned we wanted different fries, she said no it could not be done. The manager said yes it could but the fries appeared to be re fried over and didn’t taste as good. The waitress started to argue with the manager which was crazy lol. She stated a couple of things and he was trying to de-escalate the situation. Another person in our party then wanted a drink that she rung up for $23 and when told I don’t think that’s right she became very argumentative. They cancelled the drink and then went to the bar where the same drink was $10 and some change. The waitress then came back to let us know the wings would take 30 mins because “they had to go get the chicken from somewhere else”. Vincent later came and said they were coming up faster then the time she stated. He did do his best by fixing some of the bills and keeping us informed but sadly the wings never came and one of our guest went home hungry. The waitress sucked at the end of the day. I don’t know if she was trained or just didn’t care but she needs to retrained in customer service. Vincent your the real MVP. I actually did like the bowling but will not be back to due to the lack of customer service.
