The Steak House - (Near Rockmart, GA)

From the second you pull into the spacious parking lot, youre greeted with a cozy barn with some string lights that is like a warm hug on your eyes. The Steak House itselfs exterior gives you small town hidden gem energy. You walk in and are greated by a very friendly lady. I am very heavily tattooed from face down. Im no stranger to disgusted or judgmental looks in small towns. But I was greated and conversed with like a local. Thats very much something I appreciate. The whole dining area was lit with a warm light, it was well decorated for the fall season and the staff was attentive and friendly. The bread rolls are amazing! The soft butter paired with the seasoning on the bread leaves you fighting to not eat it all and save room for food. And trust me, youll want to do that. We had an order of fried mushrooms to start. I know thats not everyones cup of tea, but theyre worth a go if you like mushrooms. Theyre paired with i believe it was a house ranch (I might be mistaken) and a 1000 island. Personally, I am not a ranch guy, but with the mushrooms, they went well together and both sauces had great flavor. Now for the meats. Listen... Ive paid from $10 to $100 for one cut of steak. This ribeye comes in under $40 (current pricing) and tops EVERY STEAK IVE MADE MYSELF AND ORDERED! Medium rare, perfectly seasoned, hearty, and great portions. Our hour drive home was slow and with the button on my pants undone. That was warranted because we decided to end our night with a deep fried cheesecake drizzled in raspberry sauce. This desert had a delightful presentation with gluttony fair food energy in the flavor. This whole meal was worth every heavy deep breath i took all the way home. I live an hour away. And i would drive even farther if i had to. If youre a foodie and are willing to travel for meat... do not sleep on The steak House. Kevin (the owner), his family and team have made a gem that shouldnt be hidden. To put this review simply. Based on atmosphere, taste, and value, The Steak House is a MUST GO place! Oh and last thing... THE CAJIN SAUCE!!!! its like a butter bas with cajin seasoning... that with the steak... BLISS!

5 /5 Kevin Kozlowski: This place is a hidden gem. It was our first time there. My wife and her mother ordered from the Sunday specials. They had the fried pork chops. The special came with 2 chops and 2 sides. The chops were great. I had the ribeye. It was perfectly cooked. Probably the best I have had in the area. The waitress was very friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the peach cobler was sold out. We each had the fried raspberry cheese cake. It was delicious. The decor was old country home and was perfect for this place. We will definitely be back!!!

5 /5 Nicholas Carter: Omg I just had the best experience at this place. Fried onion rings app are light and fresh! Ribeye mid-rare w Garlic Butter, green beans and a baked potato. Everything cooked perfectly and so delicious!! Speciality Fried Cheesecake for dessert was great w strawberry and chocolate sauce on top. Im already ready to go back!!

4 /5 Richard Edwards: I’ve visited the Steakhouse several times over the last 20 years and for the most part have always been happy with the service and food. The last two visits, February & May 2025 were both a little underwhelming. In February I ordered the prime rib and while it was good, the center was cool to the touch. My wife had a steak stir fry and said it was “good” as well but wished she had just ordered a steak. This recent visit I ordered the all you can eat fish and shrimp. My wife ordered the Hawaiian chicken and our son and daughter-in-law ordered a steak and chicken tinder’s. Our son said the steak was excellent and our daughter-in-law enjoyed the chicken tenders. My fish was rubbery on the outside and cold on the inside, the fried shrimp was equally disappointing. The second round of fish, this time fried, was considerably better than the grilled and the shrimp scampi was better than the fried. My wife’s Hawaiian chicken was burnt on one side and very chewy. And again we both said we wished we would have just ordered the steak as every time we have we have been very pleased. I do recommend the restaurant. It’s a converted farm house off the beaten path,very popular with the locals and is larger than it looks. The atmosphere is quaint farmhouse in a beautiful setting. It’s a little noisy inside and the tables are fairly close to each other . If you haven’t been and find yourself in Rockmart GA, I recommend checking it out. You can look at the menu if you want but just order the steak, a baked potato and side salad. You want be disappointed after all it is “The Steakhouse”. If you’re feeling adventurous you can try something different, I just wouldn’t recommend it. Every time we have, we always said that we wished we had just ordered the steak.
