Christy Jo Henson I used to swear I would not eat here bc of the name. Then one day, my bf insisted I try a bite of his cold whole catfish. I dont even like whole catfish all that much. That is, until that day! Man! I wanted more! It took me a minute to get over the name of the restaurant but when I did, I went and got some whole catfish (fresh and hot this time) for me and my Mama and we tore it up! Their chicken wings are the best ive ever eaten and the fried mushrooms are so so good. They just dont have any Ranch Dressing which is weird. Oh, the coleslaw is good but the portion size is a freakin joke! The cakes look delicious and they probably are when theyre first made. I think mine had sat there too long bc it was dry but ill try it again. The restaurant in general though, best fried food around! They just need to sell some collard greens to mop all that unhealthy fried food out. Love this place though.

Teanndras Yates Customer service was amazing. The young lady was very professional at taking the order and giving advice on the options. The food was amazing and filling. The surf and turf and the philly baked potato was scrumptious. The portions are perfect size. We even talk to the owner she was amazing.

Christopher Monteith The food is incredible. We had steak and eggs, crème brûlée French toast, and apple cinnamon mini doughnuts. It was all amazing. Sausage patties were the perfect amount of spice. Grits were great. The French toast even had a thin layer of sugar to give the authentic brûlée experience. DANTE was such a great server. The place got packed quickly but he never let us go without anything we needed or wanted. Made recommendations and they didn’t disappoint. 10/10 on his service. The place was very clean and organized. We will definitely be back.

Mia Delamar Come here a few times for dinner. My favorite is the ribeye steak and the sweet potato fries. The fries are really good. The turkey leg is also always a favorite for my family. The service is quick, the staff always kind and attentive and the food is reasonably priced. You also get great portion sizes as well. Give this restaurant a try. You won’t regret it.

Carolyn Griffin The food was excellent. Our waiter was also serving as bartender. The service was poor. He spent too much time talking to other employees around the bar. Having one job would have been better. I did express my concerns, but he responded very nonchalant. I tipped because thats what I always do.

Kara Definitely better than Miyako (they don’t even have good rice)!!! Tokyo is my new Japanese Go-To in McDonough ❤️ the food was hot, had a great flavor, and the yum yum even had what I assumed was a light fresh garlic hint to it which was so nice and refreshing to compliment the meal. It’s cozy, dim, and features a lot of plants :) Sit at the bar for faster service and same hibachi quality food!

D.A.C I’m in GA for work and a co worker told me about this little gem. I feel there is nothing like a home cook meal and this is as close as it gets to me. I love the Latin flavor and this food was delicious. I got oxtail with rice and sweet plantains and I can’t complain about anything. Service was great, food delicious, and I’m glad I was told about this place, will definitely come back again.

Jordan Forsyth Little bit odd they had most of the lights out but the food made up for it. Ordered a chicken biscuit with bacon and the crunch was perfect, salty edges and falling apart. Definitely using real chicken for a good price

9.Hungry Station

Damon Hewlin I was not aware of Hungry Station before our friends invited us. I didn’t know what to expect. Even once we were inside still did not know about the way our food was going to be delivered. I was impressed by the conveyor belt sushi delivery. The atmosphere was unique in the level of modern Asian decor. The place felt bright and almost vacation like. It felt like a getaway from the southern norm. When our friends revealed the food would be delivered by robot I was surprised. I still did not know exactly how. I had in my own mind the image of the little robots delivering food on college campuses. But to my surprise it was a larger three tiered tray robot with a touch screen head that talked upon arrival. It was entertaining for sure being our first time there. We immediately thought about bringing our family here. Food was great, service was efficient, and our waitress was helpful and friendly. I highly recommend going to have an experience at Hungry Station. The robot also delivered my complimentary birthday ice cream and sang, on key, happy birthday. Thank you Hungry Station for a great experience.

Ashley Grimaldo Since her video of the homemade tortillas I been wanting to take my husband for lunch since I am the only person that makes him the homemade tortillas but is nice to know now a restaurant 15mins from home also makes them! He had the country skillet with chorizo eggs and potatoes. He said he loved it and will be returning! I had pancakes two eggs and pork chops. Great too and pancakes were huge! We will return!

Chelsea Collins If you’re looking for food that actually feeds your soul, Culturistic Kitchen is that spot. The flavors are bold, intentional, and rooted in culture—you can tell every dish is made with love, not shortcuts. The seasoning is on point (not salty, not bland), the portions are satisfying, and everything tastes fresh and thoughtfully prepared. This is the kind of place where each bite reminds you why supporting Black-owned, culture-driven kitchens matters. Customer service? Warm, welcoming, and genuine—like family. You don’t feel rushed, and you feel appreciated for choosing them. Overall, Culturistic Kitchen is more than just a meal—it’s an experience. Comfort food elevated, culture respected, and flavor that stays on your mind long after the plate is empty. Definitely a repeat visit for me. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️

bryan @ UltraClean Really great food. Tasted fresh. The staff was super courteous & very attentive. I almost gave 4 stars, instead of 5, because it is in a strip mall. However, I know how that can affect a business. Im just not fond of strip malls, so nothing against the establishment. It was very clean & well maintained. I would definitely eat here again.

Nayka Vaughn This place is hands down the best Mexican restaurant! Me and my fiancé saw the good reviews and had to try even though we had our own favorite Mexican restaurant for the last eight years. So many details to this place! 1. All of the hot sauces and sauces are fresh and they are delicious! The salsa verde is incredible! This has to be a chef owned restaurant just judging by all the attention to details. 2. Our margaritas were made with fresh juiced oranges. They have a machine behind the bar that juices oranges. 3. The tortillas are hand made and taste very authentic. First time for me! 4. Chicken no matter how it’s made is very juicy and tender. 5. The menu has a wide range! I urge everyone to experience this restaurant. They have only been open for three months but we will be back!

Novia Cantero-hernandez I love going here. The food is amazing! The service is outstanding, Heather our waitress is just wonderful and very friendly. The live music is amazing. The pool table could use some work as far as the balls getting stuck but the tables are overall awesome to play on.

JEREMY BUDHOO I was traveling from out of town from Columbia, South Carolina. I drove three hours. This was my first time trying this restaurant so I was overly excited upon entry. I noticed that the location was pretty small but they advised it’ll be a 25 minute wait it actually was sooner than that. They was able to take us back within 15 minutes. We will see it and advised to allow time for our waitress. We had a waitress. She was an older Caucasian woman and very sweet. Very nice. I advised to her. This was my first time joining and ask what options or what would be good she offered multiple dishes and I ended up trying the beignets which this was my first time trying they were very flavorful so good along with the sauce that came with them 10 out of 10 I would recommend them anytime. She then offered the fried green tomatoes. She explained everything that came on them. I told her I didn’t eat bacon however the others did so she said she’ll put it to the side. They were really good served with pimento cheese. This is a great appetizer then it was time for my main course which I ended up with the strawberry waffle with no strawberries and the fried chicken, of course the food was so good at I cannot wait to come back and try them again or at least get something different. The food was delicious serve very fresh and seasoned to perfection. The only negative review I can state is they didn’t have any alcohol or they don’t serve any alcohol lol and the chicken wings were pretty small. But they were good lol other than that one of the best brunch spots I’ve Encountered the staff was very nice and generous and well knowledgeable about the menu items which I loved. Can’t wait to attend again.
