Angelos Express - (Near Taylorville, IL)

Michael Jennings I used to live out here years ago and come here a lot.But moved a while ago, so its been probably close to twenty years since ive been here. And im happy to report its just as amazing as it was back then!!! I got the double cheeseburger combo, and it literally tastes just as fantastic as it did twenty years ago! I love the interior of this restaurant! They have car shows here in the summer, and all of the walls are plastered with pictures of beautiful, classic cars! This place has a nostalgic feel like an old hot dog stand from the fifties! Service was impeccable and very fast!

Paul Mendoza Dont judge this little restaurant for what it looks like on the outside. Let me tell you the food definitely has a kick. I ended up ordering 3 different tacos. Chicken, steak and fish. Im here to tell you the food was fresh and very delicious. As soon as I ordered I saw the chef in the back preparing my food. The wait wasnt even that long. Everyone was getting along in the back. There was this Caucasian woman who was speaking Spanish and it wasnt bad. She told me shes been practicing for a couple months. The Horchata was very good too. I do recommend this restaurant.

Anne Marie W delicious and cheap spot for food!! would definitely recommend stopping here if you want a cheaper option in downtown geneva. i got a grilled chicken sandwich with house made coleslaw and a strawberry lemonade, and my friend got the 4-ish chicken tenders (it was exactly 4 chicken tenders!), fries, and a strawberry lemonade as well. it was only about $30 for both our meals and it was well worth it! the lemonade was AMAZING, so even if you dont want the food, atleast give the drinks a try! the seating was very cool too, i love the way you can just sit in the alleyway!

Katie Myers If I could give more than 5 stars for our experience at this Steak ‘n Shake, I absolutely would. We were on a roadtrip to Cincinnati and stopped here for lunch, and it will be a must-have stop from now on. The food was hot, fresh, and delicious. Misty, one of the managers, made our day with service that was truly above and beyond. I had to stay in the car with our corgi while my boyfriend went in, and she was kind enough to bring out my food to the car while he ate! My boyfriend mentioned that his birthday is today, and she surprised him by making a birthday shake to go. She even gave us a pup cup for our corgi. Not only was this the best Steak ‘n Shake experience we’ve ever had, but honestly one of the best food service experiences. Very grateful, thank you Misty and team!!
