Crooked Horns Bar & Grill - Sycamore

Rating: 4.3 /5
Alexis Jones We were in town for the holidays and needed a good breakfast. Our inlaws suggested Crooked Horns and we are so glad they did! The service was amazing. We had a ton of modifications and substitutions and the server didnt miss a beat. The kitchen did a fantastic job. Although we had a huge group and tons of changes, everything came out quickly and correctly and the server was great at making sure we had everything we needed. When the food came out, we realized how big the portions were and were excited to bring home leftovers. I ordered a skillet and side cakes and it was perfection. The star of the show was definitely the attentive service and the flavors. Ill definitely be back!!

Midpoint Café - Lawrenceville

Rating: 4.7 /5
Matthew Fulcher 5 Stars – A Heavenly Meal! If you’re anywhere near Lawrenceville, do yourself a favor and stop at Midpoint Cafe. I came in expecting a good meal, but what I got was nothing short of divine intervention—specifically in the form of their pork chops. Perfectly seasoned, tender beyond belief, and grilled to absolute perfection, they were a miracle on a plate. I’m convinced the cook has a direct line to the heavens. The staff were friendly and attentive, the atmosphere was cozy and welcoming, and the prices were more than fair for the quality you get. You can taste the love and pride in every bite. Midpoint Cafe has officially become my go-to spot when I’m in town. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re seriously missing out.

Thai Town Sycamore - Sycamore

Mandy Burrus Edit from 1st order: 2nd time ordering, I went with my first time choices. 3rd time ordering, and I got the Cucumber Salad and Crab Meat Fried Rice. Crab Meat Fried Rice is phenomenal! Everyone should try it! GREAT service and food. Will be ordering a lot from now on! GREAT first experience with Thai Town! I ordered the Oyster Sauce entree with the meat choice as tofu. Excellent portions, served with jasmine rice. They even gifted me with 2 crab rangoons and a perfect portion of sweet & sour sauce with it! The sauce by the way is the best sweet & sour Ive had, hands down. Will definitely be ordering again soon!

The GOAT Pub and Grill - Rockford

Rating: 4.5 /5
ANGIE R We decided to pop in here randomly and all I can say is Im glad we did! Such a cute place and it was very inviting when we first got in the door. Kinda a cool set up as their kitchen is out by the bar and not walled off so you can see everything happening. The food was amazing! All the boys had burgers and they kept saying how good they were. Another meal was the turkey blt and it was very good too from what I was told. I had their chicken strips, just a 4 PC. And they were huge! I had leftovers from just that! But all in all a nice place to catch a game on one of the many screens, the environment and just some amazing food and drinks! We will be back!

Deweys Pizza - Edwardsville - Edwardsville

Rating: 4.7 /5
AvgJoe Rolling into downtown Edwardsville on a quiet Monday during Christmas break felt a bit like showing up to a party after everyone already went home. But fear not — because Dewey’s Pizza was the one house on the block still blasting good vibes and serving cold beer. We walked in expecting “Monday energy,” but instead were greeted like long‑lost friends who finally decided to stop ghosting them. No wait, no fuss, just instant seating and a staff so genuinely cheerful I briefly wondered if they were running on Yuengling instead of coffee. Speaking of Yuengling — we ordered a round, and let me tell you, it hit harder than a plot twist in a soap opera. Perfectly cold, perfectly refreshing, perfectly yes please, another. Then came the star of the evening: the Dr. Dre pizza. And no, it didn’t drop a beat — it dropped a masterpiece. Fresh ingredients, perfectly balanced flavors, and a crust that honestly deserves its own fan club. Light and fluffy, but with just enough crunch to remind you it’s not messing around. This crust had personality. This crust had swagger. This crust said, “I’m a serious pizza, respect me.” One of the most interesting parts? Their tag‑team service style. Every time we looked up, a new friendly face appeared — like Pokémon, but instead of battling, they brought beer and checked on our happiness levels. I don’t think we saw the same server twice, but every single one of them was on point. Great pizza. Great beer. Great atmosphere. And a staff so good they could probably run a small country. Dewey’s, you were the unexpected jackpot of our Monday night. #GOSIUE
