Aviston Family Restaurant - (Near Aviston, IL)

Kyu Kim Grabbed a great sandwich and soda. Bread was nice and thick and high quality turkey. Sandwich and soda was $10. Great value. Got sticky bun to go. Delicious ! Right downtown. Very quaint town

Monte Reed The name of the restaurant now is called El Taquila. It is fantastic. The guy, I think his name is Samuel, that runs it, really knows what he is doing. I just posted some pictures of the steaks we ordered. 10 Ribeyes. They were awesome!!! Cooked to absolute perfection. If his other food wasnt so good , I would tell him to be a steak restaurant! Sorry Paducah steak places....you just arent keeping up. Head to Metropolis to El Taquila Mexican Restaurant, next door to Sonic and across from Fort Massac State Park. By the way, at the time of this posting, that steak dinner was $12.99!!!! Yeah! And now its Feb. 2nd, 2022, and we just got another steak. It was STILL cooked to perfection by the same man! I wanted to add this reposting because it was so good. Im not sure, but I think the prices went up a dollar. With the price of beef at the store, its cheaper to let them cook you one!

peter lopez I had head and steak tacos and they were both really good. Their salsa I thinks needs a bit or work, it was a bit too watery. I also had mango drink and that was really good also. The service was good, they were very friendly. I highly recommend if you want authenticate mexican tacos.

Samantha Baldyga Claire was fantastic! I had the El Jefe margarita and the Agave Rosa, both were delicious and smooth. I also had the three salsa appetizer with the bean dip, also amazing. My hubby had the Milpa margarita which had mezcal and was smokey .

DARREN GILLES Pizza is awesome. Recommend if you enjoy a good pie.
