el jimador mexican grill

EL JIMADOR MEXICAN GRILL - DeKalb

Rating: 4.5 /5
Logan Oltman The life of the party is at El Jimador. The atmosphere is great! The food never disappoints. The drinks are amazing. When I want to go out and have a quality Mexican style meal. This is my go to. Only issue I’ve ever had is service could be better. Sometimes it takes a little too long to get your server to come back to your table. Especially when they are packed and when the drinks are flowing. It’s sometimes annoying. But besides that. Hard to beat the food and atmosphere alone. Prepare to spend though as it is by far not the cheapest option but, you get what you pay for.

The Old Brickyard Grill & Pub - Mt Pulaski

Kajiken Champaign - Champaign

Rating: 4.7 /5
lily siegel I tried the Teriyaki Tori and thoroughly enjoyed it! The menu was straightforward and easy to read. This restaurant blew away my expectations. Not only was the food delicious, but the service was great too. It would have been nice to have a vegetarian option with the broth options, but they did have one for soba. The atmosphere was also great and the lighting in there is really nice. Will be back again soon!

Andreas Pizzeria and Grill - Alpha

Craig Lehman 1st time here. Friend ordered the Friday night catfish special. Looked good & he said good. I had the double hamburger & cheese fries. 2 good ⅓# burgers ($7.89) on a toasted bun. The cheese fries ($4.09) were different than expected but very good. Good frozen fries with a styrofoam cup of cheese sauce. Not a lot of parking, at least not in front. Waitress was very friendly & answered all of our questions. Had homemade cream of cauliflower soup as soup of the day. Homemade cherry & dutch apple pies were available for desert.

Cotto A Legna - Geneva

Rating: 4.4 /5
Katie OBrien Most under-rated restaurant in Geneva. Right by the train station with plenty of parking behind and a beautiful open layout. Modern, warm decor perfect for a work lunch or date night. I was there for a work lunch and our waiter was charming and had great timing. We were able to chat without interruption. The food came quickly and was fresh and delicious. Big portions and great prices, lingering around $20. I ordered the crab cake appetizer. It was served with a side salad and was the perfect size. My guests had sandwiches with side salad. Again, so good, so generously portioned. I genuinely can’t wait to go back to try their bruschetta varieties (they had like 6 versions!) and other things on the menu. If I HAD to say something needed improvement it would be that the menu was very big and a bit overwhelming. It would be great if they held some things back and rotated them seasonally. Looking forward to coming back at night with some friends. Came back last weekend. This time for dinner with my niece and son. Another fantastic meal. Bruschetta was out of this world. Octopus was good but was full size, not mini like it says on the menu. Not a big deal still very good.

Joe’s Pizza of Benton - Benton

Rating: 4.5 /5
Bill Brown It was our first time eating this regional chain pizza. Thin crust was cracker thin. Sauce was thin as well. Toppings were fresh and plentiful. Pizza had a salty (good not too salty) flavor. Overall the crust was too thin as well as the sauce, but that maybe a local taste. Overall Id say very good.
