Eckerts Country Restaurant - Belleville

Rating: 4.5 /5
Elle D This is a fun place to visit! I ordered the mac and cheese with pulled pork and jalapeño chips (it had a bit of a kick to it), which I really enjoyed. The sweet apple cider was also crisp and refreshing. The restaurant has a very homey feel to it, and the service was good. After, I browsed their grocery store and they offer plenty of local products. Before leaving, I stopped at their donuts and custard window and tried the cider donut—a must try, especially this fall season!

Wingstop - Kankakee

Elangomatt (Aaron) Great experience. I ordered online and went to pick up my order. My only very minor complaint was that the order took a few extra minutes than the estimate provided online. They were quite busy though so its understandable. Other than that the food was very fresh and tasted great. Service was exceptional. Ill be back soon!

GrĂĽv Bistro & Wine Bar - Belleville

Rating: 4.8 /5
sutherlandk19 Solid service, tasty drinks and snacks, and a very cozy space. GrĂĽv is in the same building as the old Wine Tap and benefits from a charming historic downtown Belleville building with exposed brick, unique features, a peek into a spooky old basement, and a brick pizza oven. The patio is my favorite feature of the joint and Im excited to return in the summer to soak in some rays with friends and cocktails. I made my first visit on a Wednesday night after dinner with a few friends. We arrived later in the evening and saw the crowd dwindle out. The patio is covered (early April) and glowing outdoor heaters are spaced out. We had a table right beside the brick oven pizza and watched the coals burn out while we sipped on our martinis. They offer specials throughout the week, so we enjoyed buy-one-get-one half-off martinis and ordered a flatbread margherita pizza to share. The pizza wasnt special, but it filled our bellies. The drinks were well-made, unique, and delicious.

TapRoot - Decatur

Stephen Rigg I am a local but this was my first time at Taproot, it was delicious, I will definitely go back soon. I had the Signature Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes and garlic roasted green beans. I’ll admit when the food came out, I thought I was going to leave hungry, but it really was plenty of food. I also started with the appetizer they had in special, some breaded mushrooms with rooster sauce. They were good, but I was wishing I would have tried the Calamari. The server was so friendly and great. Pretty too. ;) The restaurant is on Merchant Street in downtown Decatur, one of the coolest streets in Decatur with lights stretched over the street.

Mike Browning What a great place. Ordered fried greenbean appitizer and it was out within a few minutes, hot and fresh. I hate a long wait. Took our order right away and again fresh, hot and delivered right away. Had a Ribeye special. It was huge. Oh and they take reservations. I had a group of 6.

CHI Family Restaurant - Lincoln

Robert Finley We were pleasantly surprised to find this place. We were passing through from St. Louis back home and was hungry. Chinese food sounded good so we thought wed stop in Lincoln. The outside of the building is very deceiving. Inside, it is very well decorated and very inviting. We started with a 6 piece order of Crab Rangoon-- they nailed it! It is SO good! Very creamy and the outside of it was just crispy enough to be good, but not too crispy or burnt. Each of our meals were very good, served hot, and we had enough to take some home. In Lincoln???....GO!!
