Charlies Place - (Near Belleville, IL)

Ranada Burton This was our first time going here so we didn’t really know what to order. Our waitress gave us some recommendations so we tried all of her recommendations. We had the 57 pasta, the chicken Alfredo, the Philly, and the Sundae waffle. Tonight’s special was Salisbury steak so we got that to go for our family at home. We also got the breakfast shoe which I think was our favorite thing! We noticed they have a breakfast buffet on Saturdays and Sundays and we are so tempered to make the drive to try it out because tonight’s food and service were so good. Their bathroom was clean and smelled amazing. The atmosphere was clean and comfortable. They also have a pie and cake case with European cakes so we had to try those too! The price point was incredible and even my kids couldn’t believe the great prices. I can’t say enough how much we enjoyed the staff here who were on top of it and helped each other and made us feel so comfortable. The food came out fast and the portions were huge! This is now one of our favs!!!

Sue Richey Just picked up a pizza order from Caseys in Carrollton. It is one of the best pizzas Ive ever eaten!! Wow, whoever made it is a master. The proportions were perfect. The new thin crust is wonderful. It was hot and delicious!!! I will definately be ordering again.

StLouisSled Its not very often that I get blown out of the water when it comes to food but on our way home from Indiana yesterday we got hungry and was looking for lunch in Carmi, IL. Joy googled and found this place. We rolled up in front and wasnt sure it was even a restaurant but took a chance and went in. We felt out of place and under dressed at first but were welcomed in wholeheartedly even in our leather and doo-rags and quickly felt right at home. There was a fixed menu with just two choices for the day, chicken or beef but WOW! the most delicious Sunday home cookin Ive had in a long time. I ate everything on my plate and even ordered dessert... Home made blackberry pie. If you ever get anywhere near Carmi you have to stop at Family Traditions Restaurant.

Jen B We stopped in for drinks and the bar is great. Highly recommend the hot mulled cider. The cheese curds are amazing! Would definitely go back to try more of the food. And the service was excellent. They also have a pool table with a nice seating area next to the bar.

Elijah Crane This is some of the best Thai food Ive ever eaten! Its so delicious and always fresh and hot. High quality ingredients. Generous portions. Great, kind people. Love love love it and highly recommend!

Mallory Wrenn This is our second time here and both times have been wonderful. Great mom & pop vibes with friendly service. The food is great, especially the pancakes!
