Cozy Corner Restaurant - (Near Streator, IL)

Chel Garrison Always warm and cozy environment when I get to eat at The Slotted Spoon. Food is delicious and good comfort food when having lunch with friends or family. Also love their take and bake… perfect for sharing with friends who might have been sick or a new parent!

Deborah Mallek Driving through we looked for a restaurant that was quick off the highway. Called ahead and ordered Gyros to go. We stopped to pick them up and decided to eat there instead. Gyros would have been messy in the vehicle. We made the right decision! Amanda was our server and extremely accommodating when we said we wanted to change our order to eat inside. They only had the soup prepared so it wasn’t a problem at all. Our meal came with the Gyro on Pita with a potato and other side. It was a lot of food for the cost. We asked for the pita to be grilled crispy and it was done the most perfect we’ve ever had. The gyro meat was cut in smaller pieces instead of long slices but it made the food much easier to eat. We each at cream of potato soup. We had fruit and onion rings as a side. It was a large portion of onion rings. This place is worth the stop! We didn’t have the buffet but took pics of it. The salad bar looked great too. Next time!! The staff were all so friendly. You won’t be disappointed stopping here. The prices are extremely reasonable. Portions huge.

Heather Brewer The food had definitely gotten worse over the past few years. Seems like its ran by mostly high-school kids. Drive thru takes forever most of the time and fries are ALWAYS old and cold even when requested made fresh.

Jugraj Singh We decided to dine in, and it was such a great choice! The place is clean, comfortable, and has a nice vibe. The service was excellent — our server checked on us often, helped us to order and made great recommendations. The pizza was outstanding: crispy crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!

Big Money I wasnt expecting delicious food like this when I walked in. The tables were empty there was one guy up front sitting at the bar, a girl on a laptop at a tablein the back and a cook that ran to the back when we walked in.... but within 15 minutes everything changed. We had our drinks and our order in.... at about 30 minutes our food was being delivered and all of it was fantastic. The Mi Casa platter was perfect... my tostada was a little soft... but I mixed it into my beans and rice and ate it on the chips.. delicious. My wife had veggie enchiladas and said that I should try them, they were great!! I will be back to give them more money when Im in town. Thanks for the excellent service and food!!!
