Hacienda Jalisco Mexican Restaurant - (Near Galesburg, IL)

4 /5 K R: Its one of two Mexican restaurants in town. This ones more restaurant setting inside the other one, which is more grab and go. Its a nice atmosphere. Food is pretty good. The workers/Server and all other staff help each other with seating delivering food and busing. However, the Server was probably only one and seemed overwhelmed, which is why he has back up help from the other team members. However, I asked for extra napkins upon ordering was never received after being acknowledged by him. He only came back when it was time to give the check. My water was never refilled, which was needed almost in the beginning of my meal, so I found that insulting. I found it rude that the cup is on the edge of the table is an indicator to provide water and of all the staff and the Server looking right at the cup never filled it. So extra star they would get they lose for lack of service.

3 /5 Mike Oliveri: Cool little place just off the highway. We stopped in for a quick lunch, and their lunch menu has several options. The chicken in the fajitas and the steak in the quesadilla were grilled well with a nice sear, but both lacked any kind of seasoning. The flavor in both dishes was mainly from the vegetables.

4 /5 Shan B: The atmosphere was so much fun, server was great and food was pretty decent. We went on a Saturday evening and tried the birria tacos and mine had so many fatty pieces that it was a little off-putting. My fiancé didn’t have any fat, so I think I just got a bad batch. The crazy tamale was wonderful.

5 /5 Craig Black: This place is amazing. The food is authentic and made fresh everyday. No cans no microwaves … just good ol fashion cooking. Try it … you won’t be disappointed.
