I just called today 1/9/26 after the owners note below and no one answered. This is the first time anyone attmpted to address my concerns, even after texting the number on the receipt and leaving a message with staff. Ive already reported the card as compromised, issued charge backs, and got a new card.
Please see pictures of the receipts for more info on how to refund me more and/or refund other people who ate with me. 12/27/2025, table 35, checks 44, 45, etc.
Food with a side of fraud. Before I ate here I said I would take pictures and leave a review after, good or bad, so here it is.
Cons:
- I paid for two checks and since we had a group of 12 people there was a 20% gratuity added. Would have been nice to be told that up front but thats fine. What isnt fine is the restaurant adding another 20% on top, which is either fraud or at the very least really poor customer service. I assume this happened to every check at my table but were still researching
- I was told Id have a call back in 30 minutes never got one almost 2 weeks later
- I also messaged the owner but no return text yet almost 2 weeks later
- my next step is report this to my credit card company and possibly the Geneva police to deter this from happening to other people as I wont be eating here again
- the server also had us repeat ourselves several times (what part of no meat is hard to understand?) and the beans and rice tasted weird
- prices were higher than La Campana in Bloomingdale and portions were smaller
Pros:
- the atmosphere was good
- the restrooms were clean and nice
- the food was decent except the rice and beans
- the service was mostly fine except for the credit card fraud

- spanish dance music is played while you eat
Id suggest not going here
If you do, pay in cash
If you go and dont pay in cash take a picture of your receipt and check your credit card statement later
