Kara A My family had a wonderful experience at Parkway Restaurant yesterday evening. We arrived around 4:30–5pm on a Saturday—just before the rush—and were warmly greeted by a kind bearded gentleman who happily gave us the booth we wanted. The place felt clean, from the tables to the window sills to the blinds (even the women’s bathroom). We sat near the kitchen, which was pleasantly calm and not noisy like at some diners. Our server, a friendly young woman with blonde hair, was attentive and knew the menu well. Food arrived quickly and piping hot. I ordered the Hot Roast Beef Sandwich—exactly the classic I’d been craving: dark gravy, instant mashed potatoes, Wonder bread, and perfectly thin roast beef. Pure 1980s small-town nostalgia! My husband’s fried seafood platter was so good he kept insisting I try it, and everything—from the fish to the crinkle fries—had that old-school flavor. My son said his hamburger was one of the best he’s ever had. Even on an off day, I’d happily eat at Parkway again. Great service, delicious comfort food, and a nostalgic diner feel. What a cherished experience considering all the chain restaurants we are forced to eat at these days!

Sandra Thank God for this place. Great to pick up natural food choices not available at supermarket. Their pre-made spanikopita is convenient for when you dont feel like cooking. Wish they could fly in some tropical fruit.

Jeff Kagay We just celebrated our 12 yr anniversary at the Blackhawk steak pit. Heard some nice things about this place and I read the reviews, some great some not so great. As for me and my wife we loved it! The service was great even while being pretty busy. Salad bar very nice and our dinner was awesome. I had the porterhouse steak just as I wanted it. Wife had the kabobs. No complaints, everything was really good. And for dessert raspberry cheesecake perfect. So 5 stars from me great job, well be back!

Susanne Gonzalez What a great place to stop for lunch on your travels. Yes its a slight bit of the beaten path but absolutely worth the detour and they have puppy dog food bowls so cute! The only thing I will recommend is to also bring a bowl of water for the pups. But other than that it was amazing the food was absolutely delicious we had the seasonal butternut squash soup and it was absolutely divine, so was the Muffletta and the best Shoshitos we have had in a restaurant. Thank you feel rba wonderful experience!

Its probably family operated because everything had the same wonderful personality and smile. The food...LOVED IT!! Delicious! I recommend the sweet and smoky chicken. The bread was fresh and soft. Ample chicken in the sandwich. The dining area was modern and clean. The staff clears your table for you. Make sure you down load the app for potential reward freebies or coupons. Will definitely come again. I enjoyed the friendly staff, warm food, and nice environment.
