La Costa Bora - Belvidere

Rating: 4.4 /5
Dillon Valencia If there’s a restaurant that could give a master class to other restaurants, it’s Costa Bora. While I’ve only been twice for brunch, I can speak from experience that they know what they’re doing. Try the skirt steak chilaquiles and if you’re hungry get the Big Daddy! Don’t get it without La Cafe De Olla though! And if you’re looking for a good time, look no further than their Canterito cocktail! So grateful my buddy Quincy told me about this place. 5/5 all day.

Classic Pizza & Pasta - Fairfield

michael perkins Love the pizza. Dessert pizza is to-die for. Coke or Pepsi fountain drinks, take your pick! Downer: The place stinks strongly like the newspaper publisher next door.

Cara Nelson The wait staff is always friendly. The food is amazing - never had a bad meal there! The pizza is awesome and can be ordered any time of day. I ordered one at breakfast to take home for lunch. There is always a wait for a table on weekends - this goes to show you how great of spot it is!!

Antioch Pizza Shop - Woodstock, IL - Woodstock

Mark Linnen If a picture says 1000 words, then the video might be 10,000. I had a delivery in the area and was able to drop my trailer and bobtail over here. Well worth it. It was amazing, very cheesy, and they are generous with the toppings. I got the double layer (deep dish) with Italian beef and sausage on one layer, ground beef, and pepperoni on the second. It was so good. I can still taste it. The price was better than I expected. Im hoping Im back in the area soon.

Hotshots Sports Bar & Grill - Decatur

Rating: 4 /5
Master Phillips I stopped by HotShots Bar & Grill around 3 PM and was impressed right from the moment I walked in. The service was quick—someone greeted me as soon as I stepped through the door, and within the first 30 minutes, I noticed the management (Drew) making their rounds, personally checking in with customers. That kind of attention to detail is always a good sign. The atmosphere was relaxed and comfortable. The music was playing at just the right volume—not too loud, not too quiet—and the lighting set a chill vibe without being too dim. Even though it was a slower time of day, the place still had a welcoming energy that made me want to hang out longer. Food came out fast and hot, just the way it should. My drink was perfectly mixed with the right balance—no heavy hand on the liquor or syrupy mess. And I’ve gotta give a shoutout to Bri, the bartender. She was amazing—friendly, on top of things, and made the whole experience even better. Definitely a spot I’ll be coming back to.
