Barrel House - Bloomington

Rating: 4.1 /5
Jack Pennoyer I went here for dinner with my friend last night and we immediately noticed how relaxed the atmosphere felt without seeming empty or too spacious. The extra room to navigate the space and plenty of lower seating was great because he utilizes a walker and requires a certain level of accessibility. The biggest standout to our dining experience other than the excellent food was our waitress, Julia. It was apparently her first day working at Barrel House and my friend and I wouldve had no idea if it hadnt come up naturally with her during conversation, she was SO good to us. We would absolutely come back again knowing that places like this clearly prioritize the customer experience and that aspect of service. Everyone else I have encountered here was awesome and polite too, but we wanted to give Julia a shoutout! Oh yeah, the chicken & chorizo soup was so good I immediately asked for another to-go!

The Village - Chicago

Jen Schaefer They squeezed the 2 of us in even though no reservations were available. Both the meatballs and meat sauce are pork free, so we had lots of options on the menu! Would highly recommend the lasagna. The chicken parmesan was also delicious. Soup or salad is complimentary with your entree. Id recommend the minestrone over the chicken broth. Tiramisu was a great end to the meal. Well definitely be back!

Nessies - Shelbyville

L Grabb "The seasoned fries and mini corn dogs at Nessies always hit the spot after an afternoon out on the lake. The pizza and pretzel bites are really good too! Ordering and paying inside at the counter was quick and easy, and we were able to choose a seat either indoors or outdoors. The best part? They serve more than just sodas – you can enjoy a refreshing alcoholic drink too. We had water but we saw several people with frozen drinks. Our food arrived promptly, and we appreciated the tarp covering some tables to shield us from the scorching sun. On some evenings, weve been lucky enough to catch local artists performing live music while we dine. However, on this particular Sunday afternoon, the tunes were silent." Usually the music is offered on Friday or Sunday evenings.

Monicals Pizza - Pekin

Matthew Neirynck Walked in, was greeted and was sitting in a booth with menus in seconds. Server followed behind quickly and took our drink orders. When she came back we placed our order. She always made sure the drinks were filled. When pizza was bought out piping hot. Prefect amount of toppings then smothered with cheese.

William Over This place was so so good!! We loved the atmosphere and the waitress was awesome! They have a very cute outdoor patio on the side but we chose to eat indoors since it was kind of chilly this morning. My fiancé had the breakfast sliders which she truly loved. Cheesy scrambled eggs with a delicious sausage pattie on a fresh bun with a side of breakfast potatoes, what more could you possibly ask for!? It was cooked to perfection too! I had the Churro Hawaiian French Toast and it was some of the best French toast I’ve ever had. We really enjoyed our visit and would definitely come back to try this place and again!
