Alan Camerer The gem of Elsah, Illinois! Hidden away on the hill on a side street, the restaurant (I hear) gets its name from a previous location. The interior is warm and welcoming with several smaller rooms to break up the too crowded feeling, which is good since they are usually busy and reservations are recommended. However, we were a group of 4 on a Saturday at 12:30 and were able to get a table with no wait. The Adult grilled cheese was pleasantly different. The accompnying arugula salad was well prepared. Mom said the chili was very good. Noise level was a little echoey but most guests were talking quietly. We were the loudest there. Sorry bout that! Parking is free on the street and might be tricky if theres a crowd. We had no problem. Waze said to turn left on a one way street off the main road into town, but just go a block further and take the next left and turn left again at the next street. The restaurant is on the left. Service and wait time were very good. Pay at the table to your server with a mobile card reader. Very convenient! Thanks to staff and owners for the great experience!

Kate The owner is super sweet and so was the girl working, I love the loaded teas and the rotating seasonal menus, I’ve been going here for 5 years now and it’s a must at least once a week.

Tony Sosa I was happy to find this little place. I am happy to be working nearby (for another week). The service was very quick and friendly. Food was exactly what I was searching for. I found an available seat without waiting at lunch time. I had the Pony shoe. I will be back. Great work ladies!

Jen. - Addus We went out to Aikman Wildlife Adventure on a Sunday and chose to eat out after. We didnt have a lot of choices that late in the afternoon and were a little hesitant but the kiddos were hungry. Im glad we stopped. The bartender/cook was amazing! She was friendly and gave great service... even to the kids who kept going up to get more quarters for the pool tables and dart boards. The food was delicious and served in a short amount of time with great prices. I definitely recommend for a few drinks out or even a family meal... you wont regret it.

The Mew This was my first time here on Saturday and I had an absolute blast!! Coming from Chicago the prices are on point and the Gayle’s bathroom was very clean! I love that they have a bags set to play outside! All the bar tenders are responsive when providing drinks and Mitzi has a wonderful personality! 10/10 Will be back again!!
