Lisas Cafe - (Near Shelbyville, IL)

Paul Robinson Decided to give this spot a try. Was not disappointed at all. The location is very nice, very big inside. It was a somewhat different style for me. You walk up to the counter and place your order. After your order is completed, youre giving a number. Didnt have to wait to long for my food at all. Prices were very reasonable. Their pizzas looked delicious. Will be back on Tuesdays to check out the specials on pizza. I ended up ordering a burger and fries. Was under 7 dollars. The good was good. The burger had seasoning and flavor! Will definitely stop back in again and bring the whole family. Update came back with the family. Tried quite a few more things on the menu. Im not a big fan of the sweet potato fries, just a bit soggy for my liking. The onion rings were very delicious and a favorite for sure. Aldo tried the fried chicken sandwich with pepper jack cheese. Was tender and juicy and fried to perfection. The chicken quesadila wasnt that good. The chicken was somewhat bland. The mozzarella sticks were on point. The boneless chicken wings were a big hit when paired with ranch. However, the star of this get-together was the pizza. Its absolutely perfect. Thin crust deliciousesness. Tuesdays are a great deal for 8 bucks. New to the area what find, a diamond in the rough.

Casey Our absolute favorite place. The best fish ever! The owner is always waiting tables and making sure things are going well. All staff is great. They do take reservations which is very helpful. Never had a bad meal. The place is older and nothing fancy but the food is so good.

Laurie Swatkowski Picked up italian beef for my dad, who is Chicago beef raised. He loved it, compared it to Nickys up north. The portions are generous & priced right. Well be back.

Alex Atwood The staff here are friendly and my orders usually come out fast. The restaurant is clean for the most part, and the food hits the standard McDonald’s quality I expect. The only reason I’m giving 4 stars instead of 5 is that sometimes the service gets a little slow during peak hours, and a few items aren’t always stocked. Overall, it’s reliable and a decent spot if you need a quick bite.

Dawn Hall Evans We stopped and ate lunch inside. The food was fresh and delicious! While we were eating, an angry old lady came in and was yelling at the employees and calling them names. They handled it beautifully! As a person who has worked customer service most of my life, I can fully appreciate management defending her employees to the horrible name calling in such a professional manner.

Jugraj Singh We decided to dine in, and it was such a great choice! The place is clean, comfortable, and has a nice vibe. The service was excellent — our server checked on us often, helped us to order and made great recommendations. The pizza was outstanding: crispy crust with just the right amount of sauce and cheese. We’ll definitely be coming back soon!
