Papas Bar - Monmouth

Rating: 4.6 /5
Nick Vasquez UPDATE: Its been 4 years since I last reviews Papas bur i jave to say they are still the BEST Monmouth has to offer! Everytime I leave there I leave rubbing my overstuffed belly completely satisfied! I went there with my friend Viv for Veterans Day- Papas offers our veterans a free meal on Veterans Day! So Viv and I cozied up to the table and the waitress (Heathers sister) and hands me the best tasting Brisket Ive ever tasted! With or without BBQ sauce it was delicious! Whatever they do in that kitchen is magical! Ive been there many times and ALWAYS, ALWAYS leave a happy customer! But yesterday (Veterans Day 2025) I won the drawing for the cool Papas tumbler and $50 gift card from Save A Lot (Monmouth Il) and Lairs Collision Center (in Monmouth as well) Both these local businesss rock! Ive used both and super happy i can say that proudly! But wait- theres more! The $50 is going to a family affected by the government shutdown whos food $$ was interrupted by it! God DOES work in funny ways!! Thank you Mark and the entire staff at Papas! You guys are awesome! Original review: Papas was great! The service friendly and the cost of the meal was a great value! It also has one of the best waitresses in town- Heather! Shes super friendly, funny and makes everyone feel welcomed! Her smile alone is reason enough to visit Papas! Great dining experience!

Landon (AegisWind) I always love coming here from time to time when traveling in the area. The people who work here are always so friendly and polite. I often see long lines, but the employees are always on top of it doing their best.

Chile Pepper Grill and Bar - Oregon

Joelio Pro Diane and crew are on top of their game with their menu selections and execution. Wings are great and you should probably try the gizzards... Because hey... You cant get them everywhere. 5 stars.

Caseys - Vienna

Rating: 4 /5
Shelley Iverson Stopped at Casey’s in Vienna, Illinois to grab some gas and stretch my legs. Walked inside and was immediately greeted—super friendly staff. The place was very clean, well-stocked, and had pretty much anything you’d want for snacks. They’ve got a pizza station too, which is always a plus. I needed a little help while I was there, and the staff was quick and kind about it—no attitude, just good people. Of course, I grabbed a sweet tea (my road trip tradition), and while it was decent, it’s definitely not Georgia sweet tea… but hey, we’re not in Georgia, so there’s that!

Hunt Brothers Pizza - Pontiac

Rating: 5 /5
James Walker "Best Pizza Ive Ever Had!" I just had the best pizza of my life — perfectly crispy crust, loaded with flavorful toppings, and packed with more meat than I expected! Every bite was full of taste and quality. And the best part? The price was super reasonable for how much you get. Great value, great quality — I’ll definitely be back!

Maxwell House Cafe - Flat Rock

Rating: 4.7 /5
Veronica Alejandra Herrera We discovered this wonderful place by chance two years ago. We were traveling from Georgia and I desperately needed a restroom, so my husband set out to find a gas station, and thats how we found Maxwell House. We had dinner there that same day and fell in love with the food and the delicious pies they sell. So, every time we travel to Illinois, a visit here is a must. Of course, today was no exception, but because of the holiday, the grill was closed. However, they were very kind to us and gave us a delicious chili dinner, which we greatly appreciate, and of course, our strawberry and coconut pies.
