Maxwell House Cafe - (Near Flat Rock, IL)

5 /5 Veronica Alejandra Herrera: We discovered this wonderful place by chance two years ago. We were traveling from Georgia and I desperately needed a restroom, so my husband set out to find a gas station, and thats how we found Maxwell House. We had dinner there that same day and fell in love with the food and the delicious pies they sell. So, every time we travel to Illinois, a visit here is a must. Of course, today was no exception, but because of the holiday, the grill was closed. However, they were very kind to us and gave us a delicious chili dinner, which we greatly appreciate, and of course, our strawberry and coconut pies.

5 /5 Michael West: I ordered a double bacon cheeseburger with a side of frys and was very impressed with the whole experience. I have been here many times through the years and usually get a supreme pizza, which is a steal in itself.

5 /5 Brenda Myers: This place is great! The town is tiny but the café was perfect. Food made from scratch right in front of you. Everyone was really nice and welcoming. It was definitely worth the 30 minute drive!
