Hawg Diner - Vandalia

Rating: 4.5 /5
Scott Van Dyke This is the only place I go to when in town for work. Diamond billiard table - best in town. Good drinks, and the staff here is wonderful! Always a great time. I will have to try the food here next time, but the menu looks pretty good. There are slot machines, video games, and a great jukebox as well.

The Great Debate - Freeport

Cat Lover What an amazing Restaurant! Love the building and decor, food was outstanding with the best chef around. Service top notch meeting your every need. We had a Filet cooked perfectly and Maui Fish, our son had Steak tacos he loves and his girlfriend had a Filet as well. Took pics of our desserts all homemade. We requested a cocktail not on the menu and they made it special for us. Had a glass of my favorite wine too. Great place for an event party to celebrate any occasion. Upstairs there is larger areas for Weddings, Showers too! If you haven’t tried this place you’re missing out! Will be back!

Josephs Fine Cuisine - Springfield

Rating: 4.7 /5
Kathy Alexander I love Joseph’s and I so enjoy their specialty dinners! Tonight was the Octoberfest dinner and it was delicious!! Chef Joe is a talented chef and so personable. He even posed for a picture with his daughter, Jasmine. The other Joe is also personable and greets you with a big smile. The atmosphere is perfect with an open kitchen and beautiful bar area. Definitely my favorite place to be!!

Brick + Bramble - Edwardsville

Rating: 4.5 /5
Alicia Saint Ives We stopped into Brick + Bramble in Edwardsville for their weekday Happy Hour (Tuesday–Friday, 2–5 PM), and it absolutely exceeded expectations. They offer 5 small plates for $35, and it’s the perfect way to sample a little of everything. We tried the Truffle Parmesan Fries, Crispy Fried Cauliflower, Pork Potstickers, Queso & Chips, and the Crispy Brussels Sprouts—all delicious and well-seasoned. The portions were generous, and everything came out hot and fresh. The cocktail menu is just as impressive. We loved The Bramble (vodka + blackberry + champagne magic), and I’m already planning a return trip for Tini Tuesdays, where they serve a curated martini menu all day for just $8. Don’t skip the Smoked Olive Martini—it’s bold, savory, and unlike anything I’ve had locally. The atmosphere is elevated but still casual, with stylish decor, open space, and friendly service. It’s perfect for date night, happy hour with friends, or even solo at the bar. ✨ If you’re into local gems, cocktails worth traveling for, and honest recommendations, follow me here on Google Maps! I’m always

Muffys Tap - Ottawa

Rating: 4.4 /5
Stacey Prindiville I used to look forward to Taco Tuesdays because of the fried tacos. Something about them was just so good. Now, they have a bigger menu of mac bites, tenderloins, BLTs. I tried the burger and fries today and it was amazing. Very flavorful. I liked the seasoning they used on the fries. This will definitely become our new go to spot for lunch during work. The girls are also very friendly. They are patient even when we call in a big order. Side note: They do accept cards. Google says only CASH, but they have been taking card for a while now.
