Lindsay Niemerg If you want flavorful Mexican food this place hits the spot. The dishes are seasoned beautifully depending on the meat. We had a party of eight and every one was so impressed with their meals. The portion sizes were generous and the wait staff was busy but we had everything we needed. Our waitress, Chrissy, also was also able to remember an entire table of orders with substitutions without writing anything down which is always impressive. I dont know if we will ever be back through, but if we are we would not hesitate to stop again.

Damir I visited this restaurant with four friends, and we had a reservation for the rooftop. The atmosphere was great—clean, inviting, and a perfect spot to enjoy the evening. Our server, Katrina, was outstanding—very friendly, attentive, and helpful throughout the night. The food was absolutely delicious! The steak was cooked to perfection, and the lobster rolls were incredible. Everyone in our group ordered something different, and every single dish was amazing. Overall, a wonderful dining experience with excellent service and food. I’d highly recommend this place and will definitely be coming back.

Yogie I had a really great experience at Black Dog in Champaign. The food was genuinely delicious, and the burnt ends were the clear highlight of the meal for me. They were tender, smoky, and full of flavor in a way that’s hard to find anywhere else. It felt like every bite had the right balance, and it made the whole meal really memorable. The price was reasonable. The place itself has a warm and comfortable feel. It’s casual and relaxed, and it’s the kind of restaurant where you can enjoy a meal without feeling rushed. Even when it gets busy, the atmosphere still feels easygoing, and the staff handles everything with friendliness and good energy. The service was quick, and everyone seemed attentive without being pushy. The location also near the station so very convenient. Overall, Black Dog is a great spot in Champaign if you’re craving barbecue. The food is solid, the environment is enjoyable, and the burnt ends alone are worth coming back for. I would definitely recommend giving it a try.

Angela Culver Great place to hang with friends during the COVID shutdowns. Tables are set up to seat 6 people and are separated from other tables and guests. The staff is extremely friendly and they always wear their masks. The heaters are super warm and the firepits seem to warm the whole area!

Jay Fish Really great food, atmosphere, and service! Can’t go wrong with their classic burger, if you like burgers. If not, they have a wide selection of food and drinks.

Dan Tracy Sat in the outdoor patio area, with another party that had a dog. It was a little cool, so the heater was on. The service was excellent, food was delicious.
