Rosatis Pizza - (Near Morris, IL)

Stephen Rigg I am a local but this was my first time at Taproot, it was delicious, I will definitely go back soon. I had the Signature Short Ribs with Mashed Potatoes and garlic roasted green beans. I’ll admit when the food came out, I thought I was going to leave hungry, but it really was plenty of food. I also started with the appetizer they had in special, some breaded mushrooms with rooster sauce. They were good, but I was wishing I would have tried the Calamari. The server was so friendly and great. Pretty too. ;) The restaurant is on Merchant Street in downtown Decatur, one of the coolest streets in Decatur with lights stretched over the street.

Amanda Rose I came down from Chicago as a tourist. I have never experienced fried sliced mushrooms till I got here. I don’t think I could ever go back to whole mushrooms. The batter was so light and flavorful that’s including the onion rings. I originally got the garlic cheese carts. They were so delicious that I ended up ordering later on in our meal the spicy cheese curds. A spicy cheese curds Will creep up on you and the heat will stay with you but in a good way and not as a punishment. I asked the waitress about the batter and she had said that everything is battered by hand. Before I go onto our main meal, I have to rave about the ranch! Thick tangy housemade; I wanted to take this back to Chicago. The Warf Burger was delicious but the Canadian bacon put it over the top and the grilled onions were a touch of perfection. The mashed potatoes was a bit basic but that gravey was absolutely fire! The buffalo chicken horseshoe was thick! So much cheese (who’s complaining?)! The chicken was moist and cooked perfectly. The buffalo sauce was a great contrast with all that cheese. They serve Pepsi drinks.

Sean Arians Met an old coworker here for lunch. It was quite a hopping place. Plenty of staff to cover the crowd. We were able to order and received our food piping hot. Burger was great. Fry portion was a bit small but honestly probably the right size! There are a couple different rooms so you can have a more restaurant experience or bar experience. Staff was attentive and food was great. Would definitely go back.

Skyler Imhoff Beautiful atmosphere and a wonderful communicative staff. Helped explain menu items so well for me, especially our server Tom. Each dish came out hot, fast, and gorgeous. Takes me back to very traditional italian dining. Do NOT miss out on the tiramisu, we got ours to go but it was done before we got to our front door. The pistachio brownie was amazing as well, have not had gelato that good in awhile. I recommend getting the sausage and peppers to eat on top or alongside your pizza it was awesome. (Monday they have tavern style pizza available that is what is pictured) The sauce is on the sweeter side but was well rounded for me with the additional dishes. Artichoke appetizer is to die for, I will be back for that alone and to try so much more of the menu.

Paola Bardell Amazing food and environment. We had ribs, brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. All the different meats were so tender and tasty. The price was fabulous, you can bit that place. We’ll definitely return when we visit Arthur’s town next time. We were in Decatur and was like 30 min drive, so worth it.

Shelby Ehrman I am not from the lacon area, but coffee hub is an exceptional place to get some good coffee and food!
