S&S Pizzas and such - (Near Golconda, IL)

Shannon Pierce Stopped in to see what it was about & glad I did… It was very clean organized owner was super nice… Got a Philly steak & fries it was amazing… Had good flavor hot & fresh the prices you couldn’t beat!! I’ll definitely be going there more often was cheaper then going to a fast food chain… Has a nice big menu w a little of everything ❤️

Stephen Kettlestrings Very intimate venue where typically the band members come out after their sets for photos and autographs. The bar is easy to get drinks and very reasonably priced. Parking is free either on the street or is the near by parking garage.

Chase Horton I was able to stop in while in town during their opening weekend. Im glad Mindy and Shannon have revived this place. The "Sporting House" is the casual sport bar vibe of the original Centralia House restaurant. I tried their wagyu beef burger and my wife had their chicken sandwich. Both were extremely fresh and full of flavor. Dont forget to try the truffle fries, which is our weak spot. The cold draft beer was a huge plus as well. Multiple TVs were streaming sports during our stay. My only complaint was that it was a bit chilly in the backroom, but Im sure that will be regulated soon. Give this place a try as their menu was super tasty. Dont forget to stop in the main restaurant and make reservations for a dinner with that special someone.

Food_Addict OMG...this place is crazy good. The pizzas are hot and fresh and absolutely craveable. Salads are beautiful as well, very nicely presented and adorned. House made dressings put them over the top. They are so confident about their food there are no S&P shakers or any sauces on the table, although they will bring some if you must. Personally I like hot sauce and they do have Calabrian chili oil which is fantastic ( wish they would put the actual chilis on the salami pizza). I would also like to be able to add anchovies to any pizza I order. Have only had pizza and salads so cant speak to the other hot dishes that appear from time to time, mostly during the evening service. This place is crazy good. Bravo

Jaime Rivas Saporito’s Pizzeria is about 14 miles from me i live in Freeport, but the drive was well worth it. This is a true mom-and-pop pizzeria that offers both excellent food and warm, friendly service. The pizza was outstanding—perfect crust, flavorful sauce, and fresh toppings. They also have a good selection of classic Italian favorites beyond just pizza. The atmosphere is cozy and welcoming, the kind of place where you immediately feel at home. Service was quick and attentive, and everything came out hot and fresh. If you’re looking for an authentic, family-run spot with top-quality pizza and Italian food, I highly recommend Saporito’s. I’ll definitely be back!
